We are a genuine Irish pub serving traditional fare such as Steak & Guinness Pie, Fish & Chips, Bangers & Mash and Lamb Curry as well as salads, appetizers for sharing, some seafood specialties and a delicious range of Brunch items on the weekends. The bar has 24 taps including Guinness and Murphy’s as well as a wide range of local craft beers. We have live music 7 nights a week. Patios will open in the future.
History
Established in 2015.
Original Dubh Linn Gate opened in Whistler in 1997, with hand crafted original furnishings, wood and artwork from Ireland. The Main Street location is the second location for the boutique Irish hospitality brand. We found the new location to be a neighbourhood that needed a local gathering place with friendly, welcoming service and delicious food and drink, and live music.
Meet the Manager
Victor P.
Manager
Victor Pulleyblank brings his cooking chops to the role of head chef at Dubh Linn Gate Irish Pub. His passion for fresh, approachable and healthy fare will help to create pub classics using all local West Coast ingredients. Victor intends to spearhead the execution of pub meals that most guests expect, and Vancouverites are sure to be both impressed and charmed.
After Victor graduated from Vancouver’s Dubrulle International Culinary Institute in 2003, he went on to become an integral part of the brigades in B.C.‘s best kitchens, including Café Medina, Chambar, Araxi, Blue Water Café and West. Although after spending many years working in fine-dining restaurants, Victor decided to shift gears.
‘I love fine dining,’ says Victor. ‘But it was time for me to make a change in the food I present. Here at Dubh Linn Gate we are designing high-quality yet casual plates I know our guests will enjoy.’ He is thrilled for the opportunity to work with Executive Chef Michael Guy, a man Victor respec
