This is my favorite place for take out when I feel like being an adult is too difficult, and cooking would push me into a nervous breakdown. The Indian food here is like a warm hug filled with love for your mouth — I usually get the shahi paneer, but on occasion the butter chicken also hits the spot. The portions are generous, and everything is spiced just right. They always have my order ready at the estimated time they give me. The one time they were running behind, they gave me a samosa as an apology for the wait. It’s a pleasure to order from here.

Delicious, fresh food — fast and pleasant delivery service. Definitely worth treating your tastebuds to either their great range of pizzas(some of which can be delightfully spicy) or their incredible indian food. Never would have thought of a combined Indian/Pizza joint but it really works — the food here is really good! Admittedly we’ve only tried the vegetarian options but every time we’ve ordered from them(delivery) it’s been fast, fresh and super-tasty. Best pizza in town and yummy indian food. Plus their veggie samosa are sooo good I’ve even been sold on ordering a couple when I order pizza. You really should give it a try!

Quick, Friendly service! I stopped in while in the area, ordered the lamb biryani + veggie samosa, for take away(ready in 10 mins), and both were very good, and the medium spice level I asked for was spot on!

This place is a hidden gem. The Indian food is great; tasty, nicely spiced, decently priced. This is my new go-do for delivery night!

Their butter chicken is my comfort food– always good, spicy and flavourful. Quick service and delivery, friendly staff and overall nice atmosphere. We’ve tried almost everything on the menu and haven’t been disappointed.

Delicious butter chicken pizza! I’ve only ordered this so can’t speak to anything else but I only have praises for the pizza. Yum yum! They deliver for free I think and I recall the time estimates being pretty accurate– sometimes very long, but they tell you ahead of time. Super friendly and warm staff.

If you want affordable and tasty Indian food then Dunbar Pizza & Grill is the place to go. The lamb biryani is very tasty and the staff there are very friendly.

4 years later and we are still ordering from Dunbar pizza on Friday nights. I think in 4 years we might have had 1, maybe 2 pizzas we made bad decisions on(but that was our fault, not theirs). They are always consistent in quality, über-amazing naan’s(my fave is the spinach naan) and very satisfying pizza’s with lots of choices. Prices are still just as great as ever.

Great vegetable samosa’s. Just the right amount of spiciness and a good dipping sauce. Don’t be put off by the lonely individual samosas rotating on the hot plate by the cash register. They’ll make you freshly fried ones in most cases.

Pretty solid indian food. I always ask for delivery to UBC, and almost always ordered their butter chicken. The portion and quality is very good, and I(think) it is authentic butter chicken. The delivery process is straight forward and on time. Unlike other places, they can actually find the address that you told them to deliver the food.

A coworker of mine treated us to lunch with takeout from this place. I must say I have never heard of such a place where one makes Indian food and pizza?! Since it was takeout I had to look at the menu provided with the delivery to know the prices…(especially since I didn’t pay for it…) The food wasn’t bad at all. An order of Butter chicken, naan, rice, malai koffta were the items. The sauce was good although I personally found the orders of the butter chicken and rice alittle on the small side. Naan was in great abundance though. My guess is for a quick lunch place this isn’t bad but still alittle bit on the pricier side to fill one’s stomach up. All in all… an a-ok place! :D

Sure, the indian food’s better than the pizza, but that’s not saying much… for any joint to do both cuisines well, hmm… the pepperoni was dry! Yes, the butter chicken is better than i expected but wouldn’t say it’s a repeat visit.

Pick up or order out, unless you’re cool with sitting on top of people; it’s tiny. They have pizza coming out you can buy a few slices of, or call ahead to order and pick up. The Indian food is really good! I’m not an expert, but the Butter Chicken and Naan I had were freaking delicious… I had medium spicy and I could go hotter, but damn it was tasty. For $ 12 the chicken dish isn’t huge so I wouldn’t call it the cheapest deal, but I had two smaller meals out of it. It’s just probably not quite enough for two people though. Yummy. Surprising, because seriously pizza and Indian food have nothing to do with one another.

Not quite a BBIT(best butter chicken in town). but, if you add the convenience factor, it probably is. If you are in this neighborhood around dinner time, you might want to pick some up and take it home for an easy nosh and great leftovers. I’m kinda giving away a secret here…

Thanks to Darren N, I pretended that this was a hole in the wall Indian place that I have passed by for years.(Its true, I lived a block away for two years and never stopped in!) Today, I had the Mattar Paneer and Naan, and ya, lets just say that I ended up eating it in my car on the side of 16th Ave. Licked the take out container clean, and felt a tad piggish. I was supposed to bring some home for the lil lady. Oops. I would second the other reviewers and get straight to the Indian food on the menu. Seems fairly reasonably priced? $ 13.50 for my lunch, and I totally could/should have shared it. The Naan is made fresh right on the spot. The cook is a happy fella and seemed genuinely thrilled that I was a newcomer to his business. As the seating is crappy, get your take out and head east down the alley between 16th and 17th just past Collingwood and you will find a nice grassy field with city views to have a picnic. Plus you can wipe your hands on the grass! Or borrow someones garden hose. You will need it.

You have to forget that this place says ‘pizza’ on the outside and instead try some of their indian cuisine. They do not promote it that heavily but it is really really good. They have an actual tandoori oven! Their naan is excellent and I personally recommend the gobi paneer. On the downside, this place is pretty much takeout or delivery only as the seating is very inadequate

Skip the pizza — it is nothing special. But the samosas(particularly the beef) are quite good, and make for a tasty inexpensive snack. You sometimes have to fight for space when the local school lets out though!

The sauce is really holding this pizza back. Both the quantity and the quality are disappointing. However, the cheese and crust are pretty good. Ample amounts of cheese and the crust is kind of crispy. Sort of like a deep-dish pizza except it’s not. They must line the pans with oil to get this effect without burning the crust. It is probably the best aspect of this pizza, but the total effect is merely average. The price is the real draw. At $ 6 for a small cheese this is the cheapest I’ve seen any pizza in town. Given the price it’s a pretty good value. Also has Indian food.
