Very BAD customer«service». The slow slobs behind the bar serve watered down drinks and the manager Adele is atrocious and on some kind of power trip. Why can’t I rate 0 stars.

This place is fun!!! It is middle age crowed but people actually dance and enjoy them selves and the drinks are really cheap

Hadn’t been there since the late 90“s.The place hasn’t changed much and that’s a good thing! It was like going back in time… Sort of. The crowd(place was busy) was from the 30’s to their 60’s.Two descent cover bands and a good beer selection. I’m going back for sure.

Amazing music value for the five dollar cover. Food was predictable pub fare for a fair price. Nothing extra to say other then if you’re hungry for a burger and some great blues this is the place. It is the perfect Yale replacement.

You really cannot go wrong here on a weekend night as they usually have live music(cover $ 10), and a rocking dance floor. Always a great place to gather among friends or meet new people. Age range is all over the place without that annoying Surrey crowd.

Not the friendliest staff. Went there last Friday night with a group of friends to watch Brickhouse. Website had incorrect information about the schedule and the cover charge. Not too many reasons to return.

Terrible service and disappointing food. The waitress kept complaining that the place was so busy, even though there were fewer than 20 people and half were sitting at the bar. It took ages before our food came and the waitress brought our bill and wanted us to pay before we even got our food.

Glorious old Fairview, begetter of some of my most magnificent hangovers. Including the one that’s currently punching me repeatedly in the brain. The Fairview doesn’t look like much outside. It also doesn’t look like much inside. It’s the clientele and music that draws me back. Instead of playing canned Top 40 garbage, the Fairview specializes in live blues, jazz, and rock bands. But the big banana for me is Rockabilly Roundup, held the second Saturday of every month. The bands are mostly local, and cover is ten bucks– which seems like a lot until you realize you’re paying to see two or three bands. Guys and dolls get greased up in their best 50’s threads, park their vintage hot rods outside, and jitterbug the night away. Just don’t get too carried away at the bar. Their Jagerbombs are tasty, but all you’ll taste the next morning is pain, Brylcreem, and regret.

3.5 stars I expected a hotel bar, what I got felt like an offshoot of a casino from the early 60s. I wasn’t far off though. Domestic beers were $ 7 and cover charge was $ 10, for a huge but not busy blues bar with people ranging from 20 – 40 years old.

Although the clientele can be kinda on the rough side, the music never disappoints. The bar is pretty large, has good drink specials, a decent dance floor, pool tables and vintage arcade games to boot. I’ve been here a couple times, mostly be accident, and the music has always been live and really good. The staff and the scene is unprentious which I appreciate, I mean we all just want to have a good time anyway.

Hit or miss, The Fairview is a biggish bar with a tiny stage, and has hosted everything from horn funk to dirty blues. It has a typical run-down feel that makes it an older man sort of venue, but has been known to draw in the kids from time to time. The seating arrangements seem to be formed in some sort of maze, with plenty of nooks and crannies for isolated groups to relax away for the rest. Depending on the act-of-the-day, there’s usually lots of people crowding in on weekends, and the long bar has ample people to cover the high demand. Nothing special, definitely no unique atmosphere, but it’s still an ok place to see a band.

With pool tables, cheap pitchers of beer, and a decently sized dance floor, nights at the Fairview Pub are some of my favorites. Expect to meet quirky, quirky characters and hear live music Thurs-Sat. I’ve danced to great funk and reggae bands here. If playing pool, just remember to redeem the cue ball for your $ 20 deposit. Believe me, it hurts the next day when you realize you didn’t. While The Fairview is not the most polished of places, the unpretentious crowd simply goes to party. You should too.
