Fez Mediterranean restaurant is local owned business, Hassen who has been a renowned chef throughout North Africa, Europe, and Canada, was the inspiration for Fez’s menu.

At Fez Mediterranean Café Bistro, we are committed to offering the healthiest selection of authentic North African Mediterranean cuisine, made with quality ingredients, both organic and natural. All our meats are local, grass-​fed, and hormone free. Our vegetables are carefully selected from local farms. We do not use any additives, colorants, MSG, or GMO in our kitchen, and all our dishes are made from scratch. In addition, all our salads, soups, and entrees have been prepared dairy free. On weekends Fez hosts a Jamel Kremba songwriter musician for your dining pleasure.

It’s been a long while since we were WOWed by any restaurant and Fez definitely did the job tonight. Every dish came out with loving and care, you can taste it! This unique restaurant serves Northern African cuisine with distinct flavors and with amazing atmosphere. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. The service was also attentive and friendly. It was our grandmother’s birthday and the chef made a special dessert for her as well.
There are lots choices on Robson street and this is one for sure to visit!

This place is delicious! The trio of dips was the perfect way to start our meal. The babaganoush (?) was especially tasty. We had their special soup, a seafood Tagline and the soup of the day, as well as some of the best baklava I have ever had. On top of this, the décor and service was great.

The food was great, service was amazing and the waiters were great. The design of the place was so beautiful. Stained glass lights. There were great paintings, and good music. The appetizers came out so fast, and they brought tea right when we sat down. The food came out in less then five minutes. My brothers side of view: The food was great but my dad only let me have three bites. And if you come here you should try the rice.

Went into here based off reviews and it did not disappoint. Charming décor, fast and friendly service.
I had the chicken basquaise and it was the most tender chicken I’ve ever had. My boyfriend had lamb skewers and it was just as good.

What a gem! We happened upon Fez Bistro Café for dinner on our last night in Vancouver and couldn’t be happier with our choice! We were refreshed with complementary Tuareg tea (mint tea and rose water) and enjoyed the fresh, healthy and handmade from scratch Algerian food. Loved the Algerian spices and twist to the entrees! Something on the menu for everyone. The owner — so friendly! — explained different dishes and even served us personally. A must-​visit! This place will be on our itinerary the next time we are in Vancouver!

Great décor, great service, but most importantly great food.
We’ve come here for lunch, as well as dinner, and everything we’ve had was amazing, and the meats were grilled perfectly. Everything seemed to be home-​made, and I’ve never had Algerian food before coming here, but me and my wife are now both fans.

Go here NOW! Jamal and his wife, Halima, truly care about you as a customer. Everything is delicious and the atmosphere is magical. I was traveling in Vancouver and picked this place from walking by. I ate dinner on a weeknight, alone, and it was a rejuvenating meal during my hectic trip to visit family.

A pleasant surprise! I ordered the Tagine Chicken dish which was delicious. I enjoyed it so much, I asked for a spoon to savour the remaining broth at the bottom of my bowl. The medley of spices is reminiscent of Indian food, yet still quite different. The place is decorated tastefully in Algerian motifs, complete with the cone-​shape covered dishware. Note, there is no alcohol served but they do have Perrier! I will definitely go back.

They have great food here and it’s all halaal. In case you hadn’t heard, many people say halaal meat tastes better :)
Everything is made from scratch here, including the bread and hot sauce (which is one of the hottest hot sauces I have ever tried, and I eat spicy food all the time)
On the weekends they have live traditional music which is great.
Tip: When they offer you tea when you sit down say «yes!»
The tea is amazing. And it’s complimentary too, with unlimited refills

Absolutely love this hidden gem! If you want something extraordinary, delicious, relaxing and unique Fez is the place to eat. Very romantic atmosphere for dates. Food is delicious, mostly organic and fresh. My husband and I have been here many times and always had a pleasant experience. Highly highly recommend Fez!
