Hand dyed and handspun yarn; handwoven tapestries, scarves, shawls, and blankets; hand knit and felted fashion accessories, all handmade locally by our 5 members. Occasionally, we are closed Sunday afternoon. Please call ahead to make sure we are open on Sundays.

It was just what I needed! The woman working was friendly but let me browse as I pleased and with her help I picked out a beautiful yarn for my sister’s birthday. Going back there for my own project asap.

My friend told me one day we would be going on a yarn adventure and we entered this yarn shop on island. I never noticed it was here at all. Most of their selection is wool (unfortunately for me who is allergic). But they have some greater speciality yarns, and even some alpaca. It is a very small shop with many hand dyed yarns. They have some cheaper yarns but much of it is a bit pricey for a poor student like me. However, if you happen to be on Granville Island this is defenitely a stop for a knitter!

What an adorable little shop. I stopped in here while on vacation and picked up some sock yarn. I was a little disappointed in the lack of selection, but overjoyed to by something by a local dyer. I definitely recommend this place for any yarn tourists wandering through Granville Island.

As a very new knitter, I have been on the lookout for sumptuous yarns to feed my new habit, and wandering into Fibre Arts Studio, I found not only lovely products, but very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Many of the yarns are hand dyed and they are beautifully varied in colour and texture, and you will find, along with your yarn, needles, some sample socks and mitts that you might aspire to re-​creating on your own, and plenty of helpful advice. The woman who helped me was so friendly and encouraging, as well as being an obvious source of knitting wisdom. She even suggested that I bring my creation into the store once I’m done — how nice!
