We offer scheduled departures, educational, as well as bespoke and customized adventures to far-flung areas of the globe. Some of our destinations include: Peru, Jordan, Ecuador (Galapagos & Amazon), Chile, Egypt, Guatemala, Spain, East Africa, Southern Africa, Cuba, and many more.

History
Established in 2011.
Founded in 2011 by Keri Montgomery and Rob Kruse, Finisterra Travel is a Vancouver-based boutique tour operator which offers Scheduled Adventures, Educational Tours, and Custom Travel to some of the further-flung corners of the globe. We are a division of Uniglobe Specialty Travel Ltd, a full-service travel agency which has been in business since 1988. We have a deep love for travel and have led tours to over 50 different countries around the globe.
Itineraries are handcrafted by us to best showcase some of our favourite destinations around Africa, Asia, Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East. Authentic experiences are an integral part of our tours so we keep our group size small, maximum 18 people, and work closely with local contacts to create unforgettable experiences. Scheduled Adventures and Educational Tours are led by a Canadian Tour Leader and are ‘mostly inclusive’ because at Finisterra we strive to take the stress out of travel, but keep the adventure in!

Business Owner
Keri became consumed by wanderlust during her childhood. She would close her eyes and spin her globe, hoping one day to visit the country her finger landed on when the spinning stopped. Her globe is still spinning and she is still dreaming of far flung lands! From the time she could afford a plane ticket, she was off to explore what this beautiful planet has to offer. Her university studies in anthropology and psychology continued to fuel her desire to travel in order to experience different cultures. Her passion for travel led her to a career as an international tour leader as well as a tour operations manager for 8 years before starting Finisterra with Rob.
Keri’s journeys over the past 15 years have taken her to 50+ countries on 6 continents. She has led tours to destinations from Reykjavik to Rapa Nui and hundreds of locations in-between. Her experience is vast and her enthusiasm is infectious which we think makes her a pretty darn good person to travel with.
