Fresher Cleaning

They started off strong when we first hired them in late 2013… but then I learned that they subcontract their «services» through another maid service, which would cost you much less if you hired directly. Still, the cleaning by these ladies was top-​notch for a while, until my favourite cleaner Anna left to work at a 9 – 5 job.
Since then, we’ve dealt with dirty drip pans and drag marks on our hardwood from the crib being dragged. When I complained, it took them nearly a week to resolve the matter and all we got was a 25% discount and the «promise» that the next cleaning would be perfect. This next cleaning, our most recent one, turned out to be 45 minutes longer than any other clean previously done, by this or any other company we’ve ever hired. These women were *SLOW.* It was also the worst service we’ve had, and ended with the cleaners hastily exiting while toys remained strewn all about the couch and clothes left on an unmade bed in our guest room. As well, toothpaste «spray» marks remained on our bathroom mirror, and when I inspected, it was obvious that they had not moved any of the furniture or the rug in the living room to clean (e.g. it was dirty underneath these items). A spray bottle of «AP All Purpose Cleaner» was also left in the bathroom.
If these things weren’t bad enough, when I tried to email my complaint or call them to deal with this, they were nowhere to be found. I left voicemails, Tweeted them, emailed them… everything. It has now been over a week since the «cleaning» occurred and nobody from Fresher Cleaning has bothered to return my tweet, calls, or emails.
They are fly-​by-​night, so don’t be fooled by the fancy website. We’ve had bad cleaning before, but never bad service from the managers/​owners. I hardly ever write reviews on Unilocal,but this was such unprofessional service and mismanagement of customer relations that I felt compelled to warn the public.

They changed 250.00 for a little over three hours work. It was for a 800 s/​f condo that was already tidy and should have taken no time at all. This cleaning did not include the stove, fridge, windows or porch. I’m sure they are nice people – but you don’t ever want to use them.
