Two stars. But I stand behind the «Meh. I’ve experience better» descriptor because that’s exactly what I have experienced. Let’s break it down…
Consignment — 1 star
Yes, I understand you are selective. Yes, I understand you have limited space. But I have brought in some nice stuff, along the lines that you request (2 years old max, in-​line with specific fashion recommendations I was given etc) and nothing. I don’t get it. And while you are looking through my options, I always have PLENTY of time to look through what you are selling for consignment. And this is why I don’t get when you tell me that what I bring in isn’t inline with what sells at your store. Because I can tell you, a lot of what I see is WAY more than 2 years old, some of it is really kinda unbelievable (not in a good way) and there are several pieces I’ve seen not in the best condition or remotely interesting in a fashion sense… be it hipster or anything else.
Also, please update your website so that Jan is not included in months to bring winter clothes. Because it currently is, I checked before coming in. Only to be told you aren’t accepting winter clothing. And don’t tell me that is what is on the voicemail. I didn’t call voicemail. I checked your website.
Sales — 2.5stars
Better than consignment, but seriously, the prices on second-​hand clothing is totally out of whack. There are some new pieces that are interesting. But to be honest, I have no idea what this store is trying to be. I feel like it used to have much more going for it, but lately, there is literally nothing I even want to try on even though I feel like there should be. I honestly think the selection used to be much better. Now, I’ve had enough. Not even going to bother anymore.

Good variety of clothing at mostly good prices. I have noticed a handful of items that are way over priced for their condition. Staff are always friendly, have had lots of help in the fitting rooms. I have also consigned items with them.

This store is beyond amazing! I wish we had one in Portland. I could have spent my entire paycheck there.

I always have a good time searching through things here, although they certainly offer more women’s options than mens.
Selection is eclectic but the prices rock.

Great to look at with their catchy window displays and clothes organized by colour, but this method makes it so tedious to find something in your size. Only the pants are organized by size. I echo the comments of others who tried to consign here and were rejected, and I find it interesting that when I said I would step out during the fifteen minutes that they were evaluating my clothes, I was told I had to stay in the store. Why, is this their way of getting in customers who are likely to start shopping around during the wait? Prices were high for second hand clothes– some brands are sold at the Bay, where new on sale they will sell for cheaper than here. The designer labels section was the only one that maybe had promise.

I am writing the review mostly as a consigner, and a little bit as a shopper.
Those that are looking to consign your cloths — don’t waste your time. I tried to do it a couple of times, and although I took new or almost new condition clothing of good brands (the quality that I thought was better that most of the consignment stuff in the store), I was rejected each time. Also, I find the staff arrogant and not welcoming.
After trying a couple of times with Front, I made an appointment with another store on Main (Turnabout), and most of my stuff was taken.
In regards to shopping experience, I never had luck with Front. Turnabout has much more variety, and the prices are also more reasonable.

I brought in a bag of very nice items which were hardly worn and in season, they selected nothing I brought in and to top it off the staff was condescending and down right snobby.

Fantastic selection of consignment shoes. Good selection of designer & mall-​brand clothes. Occasionally a good destination for a wedding dress or bridesmaid dress.

Lost my business. I am a big supporter of local but in this case, three-strikes-you’re-out — ethics matter.
1) Broadway location: I dropped by to sell my product. They seemed happy to support me as local so I made an appointment to show them more. Confirmed the day before by phone and brought my work in only to have them refuse to look at it telling me they only buy at trade shows. Such a waste of time, carrying heavy cases around, so inconsiderate and definitely not treating people like they matter.
2) Main Street location: it is extremely hard to get any items accepted on consignment despite being up to date and «appropriate» high end labels. They will often tell you to bring something back during another season but when you do they won’t take it (this happened to me twice).
3) last straw. Called in to make sure they were taking vintage furs in good condition. They said bring it in tomorrow but when I did the employee told me they weren’t taking furs anymore… that it was beautiful and in great condition so I should bring it back next year… Seriously? See #2
If you’re looking to consign your stuff go elsewhere or you’ll likely be wasting your time.
I don’t do business with unethical people so I had the clerk give me all of the items still on consignment. I’d rather donate them than have a company I can’t trust make money off me. Poor behaviour.

I love this store!
They have some unique items from accessories, clothing, vintage & new, shoes, books and so much more. They also do consignment, which Ive tried to do but I think my stuff was just not cool enough. I often come to this store and spend so much time just looking at the different items they have. Prices are also pretty reasonable. Workers here are super friendly and very helpful. Happy shopping!

I really enjoy this fun and funky place as well as their knick knack store. I do agree they have one of the best window displays in town and a shopping plethora BUT consigning is a hit or miss. I am like others as well, brought a couple bags of brand new stuff, within season and «saleable» design, they did not take one. WTH?! I am not sure what concept they’re using but I am sure another company will benefit from me.

The new selection of clothing consists a lot of polyester and acrylic… And the pricing is not cheap for what you are getting in quality.
Did find some new cashmere scarves for an OK price recently … :)
I’m not sure what the deal is with this place but definitely it’s a waste of time taking items to be consigned … After 4 attempts of taking new/​almost new, brand label clothing and foot wear (a number of the items with tags still on them) and not one item being kept… I am now a true believer in the rumour mill around town about this place. They should just fess-​up and stop wasting people’s time …
The kitschy stuff is great !! Books, jewelry, etc is fun…
Return policy is horrific!!!

I’m writing about this shop as a consigner, not as a shopper.
If you’re looking to consign your clothes, don’t bother here. I’m now 100% convinced the consignment part is a «Front» (haha).
I tried to drop off a bag of new-​condition, in-​season clothes here (they were in the same style, and better condition than what was offered for sale on the racks), and they didn’t take anything. I’ve tried again and again with other pieces, and they’ve taken nothing.

I love everything about Front & Co… the clothing, the music, the vibe and the service is great! The stuff is AMAZING!!! Everyone is super friendly, helpful and super stylish, specially Adriana, Katrina and Lydia! I would say Front and Co is the best store to go on Main Street! Check it out!!!

I know with consignment stores it can be hit or miss, but with Front & Company, I’ve never had a hit. I like the concept. I love the window displays, which are creative and eye catching.
I just haven’t been able to find one thing that is worth while. Yesterday, I almost come close to getting a silk dress in the consignment section. But the price tag was $ 56 and the hem had completely come undone. I thought, well if I get this, I will have to take it to get the hem fixed, not really worth it.
Maybe with this type of store I have to go on a regular basis to have a chance at the newly arrived stuff.
But it all boils down to I’m too lazy and would like a store that better curates the stock.

Nice neat layout, and a great mix of new and old. The staff here are nice and helpful, and there is no shortage of things to peruse here! I really enjoy the designer section here, some amazing steals and deals in there!

Good prices and selection of consignment and seconds. I also like the huge selection of accessories and novelties. It’s the perfect place to find a gift in the $ 15 – 40 range– a pair of earrings or a bracelet, a pretty wallet or purse, or a funky keepsake box or journal. Staff has always been great. Helpful if you need it, but not intrusive.
And of course, one of the best front window displays in the city.

Every time I venture into the designer section at this consignment/​retail emporium I have the overwhelming urge to lie underneath the racks and gleefully bat at the pretty dresses like an awkward kitten.
For a woman who is notoriously horrible at keeping on top of her laundry, having this store within striking distance has saved more then a few business meeting ensembles. Their consignment section is well laid out and though the price range can be hit or miss, if you’re down to dig a little, there are treasures to be found. Last pass through I made it out with a pretty brown leather blazer ($ 34) and a handful of breezy collared tops ($ 15-​$ 25) perfect for throwing together a last minute, shoot-​I-​forgot-​about-​it, god-​make-​me-​look-​professional outfit for meetings.
But their designer section, just off to the left as you enter, is their true calling card. Their selection is incredible and you’ll often land a piece at 50−70% off the regular price. For most of us, that price still requires some serious penny pinching but after making googly eyes with a great little Mackage leather bomber a few weeks back which at 50% STILL made my wallet quiver, I blissfully discovered they offer lay away! I tucked away my darling little jacket and in a few short (and monetarily painless) weeks it was mine! Tip of the hat to you Front & Company!
In addition to consignment goodness, this spot offers a good selection of new products and quirky gifts. I picked up a few fun ornaments and a novelty soother (with a handlebar moustache… shush, it’s hilarious) for my pending niece over Christmas and was happily surprised at the array of easy present options they have on-​hand.
The only thing I find spotty at Front & Company is the service, which can be very hit or miss. At times, the staff are friendly, chatty and unbelievably helpful; other times I feel like I have to make a scene to grab someone’s attention or awkwardly disturb their conversation with a co-​worker to get some info. I will say however, that EVERY time i’ve been there the staff working the change rooms have been super helpful and accommodating so cheers to them!
All in all, happy consignment finds and quirky times — Front & Company is my kinda place.

I love this shop! They have fabulous consignment and unique new clothing and accessories at pretty decent prices (and sometimes the odd true bargain, like Roberto Cavalli jeans for $ 25), plus a plethora of absolutely fascinating stuff of every description. Hands-​down the very best place to buy a present for a man. Any man. Or any woman, for that matter (for some reason, there are far more places to buy gifts for women, perhaps because most women enjoy receiving so many kinds of things: earrings, bracelets, necklaces, chocolates, flowers … but I digress).
So … hands-​down, the very best place to buy gifts. Period. Where else could a dedicated marine mammal rescue volunteer like myself run across a reusable shopping bag that tucks conveniently (and adorably) into a small leather seal? Funny books (genuinely funny — my friend and I about peed ourselves laughing at a book of cat poetry, and neither of us even owns a cat), joke gifts for literally every occasion, Pac Man and Ninjago alarm clocks, and just about anything for the person in your life who loves mustaches — it’s not just magnets and silly straws, you know. I bought myself the Shakespearean insult mug that I’ve been eyeing for a while now. There is also an Adam & Eve mug (with disappearing fig leaves, of course).
After you spend an hour perusing the tables in the main shop, don’t forget to head next door to their sister shop, which is filled with EVEN MORE cool stuff, including a niche full of baby gifts. Yes, my darling sister has just had a baby, and she will be getting stuff from there. As if the lack of sleep were not punishment enough, haha!
