A gorgeous space with quirky interesting art — an experience here will far exceed a trip to the Vancouver’s main mammoth of an art gallery. The space works perfectly for special events. For one visit, we saw a short screened here and for another, the event was organized in conjunction with the neighboring Bjornson Kajiwara Gallery. In chatting with the one of the staff members/owners briefly, many of my perceptions(based on experiences in other *cough* South Granville galleries) came crashing down. The gentleman we spoke with was enthused about art but also didn’t talk on a higher level than everyone else in the room. Overall a great spot to visit. And with a gallery next door and also the Truck gallery just a few more doors west, visitors can take a little 3th Avenue art stroll. My, doesn’t that sound civilized?

One of my favourite spaces in Vancouver. Unlike some of its neighbouring peers, the three men who own Gallery Jones are so completely devoid of pretension and arrogance. The roster is ever-evolving – four new artists have popped up in the last year – which keeps things interesting.
