History
Established in 1986.
1986 July: Gateway College was founded as Community Professional Medical Careers Ltd. (CPMC).
1986 September: Equipment was purchased, premises were leased, curriculum was developed and the first classes commenced.
1989 March: Continued growth led to the incorporation of CPMC.
1993 May: An additional adjacent 1,500 square feet of office space was leased.
1997: Planning to offer additional courses unrelated to the medical field, we changed the name of the college to Gateway Careers Inc. (GCI).
1999 January: The college obtained accreditation from the Private Career Training Institutions Agency of British Columbia (formerly known as PPSEC) to demonstrate the high quality of our education.
2006 June: Vancouver campus relocated to the three story building on 395 West Broadway to accomodate increasing number of students, and modified the name to Gateway College (GC). Our proud Long-Term Care Aide (LTCA) Diploma program with ongoing upgrades to the curriculum has remained the
