We’re internet famous for our Unicorn Poop Cookies, Zelda Heart Cupcakes, Cthulhu Cookies and Ramona Rainbow Cake. We are a home-based bakery, selling every weekend at local Vancouver Farmer’s Markets. We take custom orders for cakes, cupcakes and cookies. History

Established in 2010.

Starting out in Ottawa Ontario Canada, Geek Sweets moved to Vancouver to provide quality baked goods with a geektastic flair via the local Vancouver Farmer’s Markets. Our goodies are baked with local and organic ingredients where possible — we love the local Vancouver food scene and are proud to be a part of its thriving ecosystem!

Business Owner

A graphic designer originally, the sweet geek found her real passion buried beneath a pile of flour and dutch processs cocoa powder. Geek Sweets began in Ottawa, Ontario with a bang, where it took home the prize for Best Decorated Cupcake in Show at the Ottawa Cupcake Camp.

After a successful three years in Ottawa, the sweet geek and her trusty sidekick Mr. B have relocated to Vancouver to be close to family, to be a part of the amazing Farmer’s Market scene, and to pop out some ‘little geeks’ in the city that holds their hearts.

This is not a real business! It seems more like someone’s hobby. I drove all the way to the posted address and didn’t see any signage suggesting there was a bakery business in the building. I was not impressed because the hours of operation were listed online and I made it before the posted closing time, but I got over it. That is, until I tried to call the number to place a custom order. I was put through to a message saying that custom orders were no longer being accepted. :-(

I consider myself spoiled because Jenny lives in my apartment building and often has her goodies for sale in the lobby. Who can say no to a cupcake after a long day at work??? I’ve tried quite a few — all of which were decorated to perfection — and my faves are definitely the lemon-blackberry and the PB&J (which I never thought I would like, go figure). Last Easter I purchased some of her adorable chick cake pops for my family and they were a huge hit. I also recently sampled some of her cronuts (my first cronut!) which were delicious as well. Highly recommended!

I work for United Front Games in Yaletown. We’ve been ordering from Geek Sweets recently, and the delicious nerdiness of each batch has been a HUGE hit with our team.
We’ve used Geek Sweets for two separate studio events, with «regular» flavours as well as some wackier ones, and both times the cupcakes were devoured like there was no tomorrow.
Jenny is super easy to get a hold of to discuss orders, and has been more than happy to accommodate our requests for different combos of flavours and toppings.
She’s hand delivered a huge order to us, which was fantastic, and she’s even fitted us in when her schedule was already booked full. We really appreciated that.
Geek Sweets offer tasty, creative and nerdy treats combined with awesome service. Highly recommended!

If there is one cupcake goodess to stalk… it is here. Amazing imaginative and creative cupcakes and cookies. Colorful, playful and geeky. I am where she is (where I can be). Thanks to her I have gained 3 lbs with no regrets. I first saw her booth at car free day and since then have been hooked. She is really sweet and nice and is a geek just like me. From one cupcake fan to another = you rock. Her prices are extremely reasonable.
