This place is solid. I’ve tried pistachio, chocolate, nocciola, biscottini, passionfruit, and lemon cake and they’ve all been good. Love that you can get two flavours for the price of one scoop. Service is pleasant and I tend to see the same scoopers. They also have a stamp card to get free gelato.

Always a nice treat on a hot day. A good selection of flavours with nice big scoops. They will even let you have two flavours in a scoop! Nice range from light fruity sorbettos to rich chocolates.

The best gelato by far … been coming here for years and I can’t believe that I haven’t commented earlier. Not to mention they’ll give you two different flavours for the price of one scoop. Dolce Amore rocks !

Decent selection of gelato and open late(11pm) but be aware that it is Cash Only. Pink grapefruit was refreshing without being too sour, usually my go to flavour if it’s available and this was comparable to ones I’ve tried at at other shops. Good contrast to the sweeter creamier flavours like blueberry cheesecake and smores. Cone is free and you can try multiple flavours before ordering. Also sells gelato bars and gelato sandwiches along with pies and a few small desserts. Will have to try next time.

Their flavours are strong and give a feeling as if they are freshly made. Well may be they are. I tried their blood orange and it was good but sugar coma hit me whenever finished one third of a scoop. Price is on the mid to higher end but you pay for the quality. I luckily had some change or else I couldn’t buy cause it’s a ‘cash only ‘. Their Rees flavour is on the other hand creamy peanutty gooey and chocolaty.

I ordered the kitkat flavor and the Rocher flavor at the bottom. I loved it. It was not too sweet or not too bland either. So just perfect. I had it with the cone because of environmental reasons, I don’t want to deal with the plastic cup. Well the cone was ok. Just an ordinary waffle cone. Not too special. The ice cream didn’t melt extremely fast. So that’s a plus too. In the ice cream place there are a few seating. But I have noticed most people just buy and go. There are not a lot of flavor but they do also sell ice cream sandwiches and ice cream on a stick. So you do have some good options. Staffs are very friendly. I have to say I really enjoy coming here. Definitely will be back when I am in the hood. As a plus you could split a one scope ice cream. * They are really giving you two scope with two flavor and charging you for one scope price. I loved this. So less than $ 5 for two flavor is not bad. They don’t list this on their menu. So you got to ask!

Gelateria Dolce Amore is a must try on Commercial Drive. Here, you will find gelato from various flavors that are fresh and high quality for an extremely affordable price. Staffs here are also extremely friendly and helpful too. The only downside to Gelateria Dolce Amore, is that they only carry cash. So make sure you have access to the nearest atm or bring some cash before hand! Other than that, I highly recommend Gelateria Dolce Amore for their super duper yummy, creamy and high quality gelato for an extremely inexpensive price! Service: 5⁄5 Food: 5⁄5 Price: 5⁄5 Atmosphere & mood: 5⁄5

You only take cash!!! What’s wrong with you? It’s 2015, get with it. Why make it so difficult for your customers. With all the places to get gelato in this city, you’ll never get my business.

Just go! Delcious gelato with a wide selection of flavors. Well priced too. I had pistachio in a tub(2 scoops) and it cost 3.50.

Well, I went against the grain and chose to get two scoops instead of one(despite the fact that most reviewers said one scoop was plenty). All I’ve gotta say is that the gelato here is out of this world. I’m so glad I escaped the downtown area to try out this gem! Important note: CASHONLY! They don’t accept debit/credit.

Yum, yumm, yummmm!!! Whenever i’m on the drive, I just have to get gelato from this place! Its so good and they are very generous with their scoops. I typically get a single scoop and it could count as two! Fun fact: you can have 2 flavors in a single scoop! My favorites are pistachio, kinder surprise, salted caramel, rocher and caramel popcorn. They tend to switch up the flavors so sometimes they don’t have my favorites. Don’t forget your cash. No card machines in the store

Not the best gelato I’ve had, but its really really really good. Flavors are strong, and creaminess was perfect. All the flavors I’ve tried were top notch: Oreo, Birthday Cake, Berries. mmmm. Service was friendly, and they have a loyalty stamp card. Woot woot. Definitely a nice place to go to on commercial after lunch or dinner :)

This place is great of gelato on a hot summer day. It can be enjoyed on its own, or even as a dessert(or appetizer ;)). The selection is optimal for people who like having options and the ice cream looks relatively fresh since lots of people come through the store on a regular basis. It is a cute casual place to take a date or even go with a group of friends. Families would also enjoy this place as would kids of all ages. Aside from the slight wait to get my two scoops, I would definitely come back again for a great reliable gelato fix. They have my favorites(such as vanilla, strawberry and mango) but they also have a great selection of gelatos for the individuals with a sweet tooth(for ex: Kinder surprise and Ferrero Rocher flavors!)! Piece of advice is that they may run out, when I went this past Monday they ran out of Mango! But everything else was in stock. I was almost going neck and neck for another customer for the last bit of blood orange, but I settled for cherry and strawberry :)

The pistachio cookie sandwich. A great bang for your buck. Well any ice cream sandwich. Great customer service. First thing that greeted me was the employee’s friendly smile. Keep it up. A simple smile goes a long way. Will for sure come back again when I craving cheat sweets. Aloha.

It’s 22 degrees out, therefore, today is officially the first day of summer or at least it feels like it. This means that I can splurge on my extra points and get some frozen treats. I made my own creamsicle. Vanilla on the bottom, orange on the top. Empty calories, however, good to celebrate the season of weather that I hope lasts a bit. Line was a bit long with cause but worth it.

Love the gelato here. It tastes creamier and fresher than La Casa. Yes, the flavour selection is not as grand as the 200+ choices you get at La Casa, but I think the quality is worth the visit if you are in the area. I have also tried some pies here and they were pretty good as well.

I went to Dolce Amore as a part of the East Side Brunch Crawl for Dine Out 2014. The first place I stopped at was Gelateria Dolce Amore because it was the closest to the registration site! Yes, I actually had dessert first thing in the morning haha. We were given two gelato flavours to sample. I don’t recall the names, but one was of a caramel variety. The gelato was absolutely devine! It was very think, creamy and melted in your mouth.
