i’m grateful for this place because for the last year and a bit, they have hosted food scrap drop off in front of their building when the neighbourhood farmer’s market ends.
basically, in 2015, everyone will need to be recycling their food waste, so why not start now? it’s amazing to not have to take out the garbage so often (and to not have to figure out a way to compost this stuff myself!) there are volunteers in front of GNH every saturday from 10am til noon to take your food scraps (i suggest keeping your fruit/​veg ends and cores in the freezer until saturday mornings if you have space!) and they ask for a $ 2 donation to keep it going.

There’s an employment centre here that is excellent. They offer help with resume-​writing, job-​searching, writing covering letters and more. They’ll also look over your resume and help you tweak it. I highly recommend this place. The workers are top-​notch. If you are unemployed and on Employment Income or you’re a recent immigrant, you may be able to attend the classes for free.
You can use the computers and telephones for job-​hunting and to place local calls. The location also has a large library of books on job-​hunting.
