This is simply the single best Chinese food delivery in all of Vancouver. The vegetable fried rice, veggie spring rolls, and spicy deep-fried mushrooms are some of the most addictive things I’ve ever eaten. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. The delivery is very prompt. Stop reading and order now!!!

Ordered delivery from here for the first time. Woman on the phone was pleasant and patient, delivery time was about 45 minutes on a busy Saturday night during peak time, and the man delivering the food was nice too. We ordered ginger beef, pot stickers, Shanghai noodles and sweet and sour chicken and also received complimentary spring rolls with our order. The food was great– and you could tell it was fresh which is sometimes hard to find for delivery.(Delivery is free within 5k which is great too!)

I really love the food at this place. This is the only Szechuan-style Chinese food of the vegetarian Chinese restaurants in Vancouver. They have a meat menu and a separate vegetarian menu that has a great selection. Not a big fan of some of the fake meat dishes, but almost everything else I’ve ordered here has been enjoyable. Prices are very reasonable, one of the lowest for the veggie Chinese restaurants, and they will give you 10% off for take-out, and a free soup if you order more than $ 25 worth. Service is very friendly and astute. Probably my second favourite place for veggie Chinese food in the city, next to Po Kong, and my favourite for take-out.

This is our regular go to takeout spot for Chinese food! Friendly staff, good selection and if your order goes above $ 30 they usually give you complimentary soup or spring rolls. Vegetarian dishes are also surprisingly tasty!

We’ve been going to this place for over a decade and have never been disappointed. The vegetarian menu is full of great items with lots of flavour. My favourite dish is the vegetarian Kung Pao.

This is the best Chinese food in Vancouver in the price range. I’ve been a long-time customer, since the 1980’s when it was on Broadway. I live in Maple Ridge now, but they are still the place I go to when I’m in town. As a general rule, the selection of food you get at Chinese restaurants doesn’t vary too much from place to place, and the Grand View has what you would expect. Everything is tasty, the ingredients taste fresh. But there is one gem on the menu: the Deep Fried Spicy Spareribs(boneless) is my favourite dish, and one that I’ve never seen duplicated anywhere else. Unlike most dishes of that description, the spareribs are moist inside, with a spicy crunchy batter. I’ve probably taken five years off my life with the sheer volume of those ribs that I’ve eaten, but it’s worth it.(Well, almost…)

Starving with nothing in my fridge I turned to — the site compiles take out options in the area and you can order online for telephone-phobes like me. If it wasn’t for this site, I would not have known this restaurant even existed. So I place my order online(wee!) and am all jazzed about my upcoming meal. Then I get a call from the manager/owner confirming my order, and telling me in the future not to order online. I go to pick up my food, and again, the woman tells me not to order online but to call them directly(and not in the nicest tone). So, okay I get that the website probably takes a cut of the profit from your order but:(1) if it wasn’t for this website I would never have discovered your little hole in the wall and(2) if you don’t want people to order online then why did you sign up for the site in the first place??? It was prime dinner time on a Saturday night when I went in to pick up the food and there wasn’t a single Asian person eating there, which is generally not a good sign. The food was alright. We tried the spicy seafood fried rice, eggplant and tofu in spicy garlic sauce, and honey garlic spare ribs. The fried rice was pretty good, but the other dishes were below par. The ribs tasted more like the deep fryer then anything else, and the eggplant dish was not spicy at all(more sweet than anything). The food wasn’t good enough to ever bring me back.

I must have ordered from these guys on a bad day. Points for fast delivery and really tasty broth in their Wor Wonton. I thought I was ordering the honey garlic chicken that other reviewers have raved about, but there’s no way the inedible container of fried breading we received could possibly be the dish others have sworn was so good. We were actually cutting pieces open trying to find chicken inside and only occasionally being rewarded with the sight of a thin shred of meat. 9 out of 10 were only greasy breading. Please, if someone could direct me to the dish that they enjoyed, I’d almost be willing to order again out of sheer curiosity. However, the item we ordered(number 51, Shredded Honey Garlic Chicken) was disgusting. We also ordered half a BBQ duck(goodish, but dry) and egg rolls(also good). Will not order from these guys again(unless someone wants to give me advice on their better items… they can’t be this well reviewed if all of their food is like what I received tonight).

Good old fashioned Chinese Greasy Spoon type place. Lets not beat around the bush here. It is tasty and filling and makes you feel like you have had the Chinese Food you remember as a kid(that would get it ordered from your local establishment). The hospitality is great and they treat all diners with respect and do not snub someone for asking for a fork or water. So this is quite a refreshing place for the Vancouver dining scene. I think i will try ordering from here next time.

Great service, great food. The best place in the city for vegetarian chinese food that doesn’t simply consist of tofu and mushrooms. Must try the honey garlic ‘chicken’ or sweet and sour ‘pork’ For all the carnivores a must try is the peking duck and hot and sour soup. Also this place is always more than happy to not but any MSG in their food.

I ate here when they were on Broadway, and have come back more and more now that they are in a nicer but smaller space on Fraser. The hot and sour soup is not to be missed, and General Tso’s chicken is also delish. We love the black bean spicy tofu, the hot pot, and the eggplant thing… But we have a hard time not ordering delicious sweet and spicy General Tso’s chicken even though it isn’t the healthiest thing on the menu.

This is a great family run eatery, with such a hospitable owner. It’s not a vegetarian restaurant, but they have a great meatless menu. Not only that, but they’re accommodating of any requests. The honey garlic chicken is insanely delicious – heavy, but tasty.

The food here has changed to OK from what it was when it was on Broadway. I am not sure why. Could be change in ownership or chef. When it was on Broadway I favored the Hot and sour soup, fried Oyster in a great spicy sauce, and General Tsoa chicken.
