Cool Chicks Doing Books!

We love what we do. Which is perfect. Because most people hate it! For our clients, coming to Homeroom is a chance to feel great about a good decision. And that makes us happy too.

We started out helping individuals with a task not many look forward to. Making sense of their tax returns. That’s still a big part of Homeroom’s business. Today, we also work with small and medium-sized businesses in Vancouver, helping them navigate the rules of an increasingly complex tax world.

Our approach is just what you’d expect from cool chicks doing books. We’re meticulous, organized, detail-oriented, and accurate. We love crunching numbers and wrangling spreadsheets. We’re also human. Ready to listen, explain, and help you understand your accounting situation.

Meet the Business Owner

Teya M.

Business Owner

Teya is your ideal service provider. For years Teya worked hard for others, serving in the restaurant industry, while dreaming of owning her own business. She made it her reality in 2009 with the creation of Homeroom. A thriving business, Homeroom Inc. has expanded from a one woman show to having 4 employees! Teya was motivated to expand her staff upon the arrival of her son Jules in July of 2011. She now has the best reason to stop working when business hours are over.

Teya enjoys problem solving, creating varied solutions for all types of people and teaching her clients about numbers! You might just find her sitting on her office floor amidst a pile of receipts, smiling. Teya provides a service that people value and enjoys making a difference in the way her clients run their business by being a trusted advisor.

When not pouring over bookkeeping files Teya’s motivation comes from her love to travel. With family in Slovenia (EU), and frequent trips to Mexico, Teya is fuelled by sand
