I’ve had the pleasure of dining at Indian Fusion TWICE now and I’ve also ordered delivery to my house in the West End TWICE. All times have been very delicious and satisfactory. What makes this Indian restaurant special is that each menu item is quite unique from the other with very distinct sauces and flavours and they’re all prepared so well. Ordering two entrees and one appetizer with 2 orders of naan is enough for dinner and lunch the next day. I will continue to return to Indian Fusion when I’m in the mood for quality Indian food with a twist.

The Butter Chicken($ 14), our favourite of the three dishes we ordered, was delicious, with tender cubes of chicken in a creamy fresh tomato and pureed ginger, garlic, fenugreek herb and cinnamon sauce. There was a perfect balance of sweet and savoury flavours, and the creamy sauce absorbed nicely into the rice and naan. The Shitake Prawns($ 17) has succulent, peeled prawns in the sauce which was cooked in a ginger, garlic, tomato, onion and tumeric sauce. The tumeric spice gave the dish a distinct South Asian /Middle Eastern taste. The Lamb Vindaloo($ 14) had generous portions of braised lamb cooked in a sauce of red chillies, vinegar, tomatoes, onions, and star anise. We thought the star anise(licorice flavour) added a nice touch to the dish, however, it seemed like the vinegar was over-powering the other flavours and gave the dish an unbalanced sour flavour.

I was here about two weeks ago with my best buddy and his girlfriend. We asked the waiter for some recommendations and we ended up splitting«The Fusion» appetizer platter, Lamb Shank curry and the Halibut in Coconut Curry Sauce. We topped that up with an order of Bacon Naan! Everything was spectacular. Very interesting twists on traditional dishes. Bacon Naan is worth coming for alone. Finished up with a few chai teas. Cool décor with great food.
