Despina works wonders for medium/​short cuts! She cut and shaped my hair in a way that, despite my hair growing out, it still looked fresh and even several months afterwards. Her styling technique made my hair so soft, manageable, and bouncy that I didn’t want to wash it out!
The only reason why I gave 4 out of 5 stars is that the cut and style usually costs me $ 70 (including tax and tip) despite the fact that I get a dry cut (no shampooing or conditioning) with little to no product. A discount for loyal customers would be much appreciated.

I just had a manicure with Cori today and it was truly an amazing experience!
First I wasn’t sure about a color and she picked out a beautiful red, very out of my usual color scheme. Second Cori is very friendly and personable that it was a pleasure to sit there for an hour. I did not want to leave.
Her attention to small details was fabulous seeing that I tend to be fairly picky!
I will absolutely be back in 2 weeks!!!

I walked in desperate to fix my previously ruined hair by another salon and in panic to do it ASAP, because of my upcoming trip. The stylist Richard Lassalle was very friendly and professional and has fixed their mess. Saloon looked beautiful. will definitively go back.

I came here off a recommendation from a friend for a GEL manicure with Cori. She was amazing! Best one I’ve had in the city, hands down. Awesome service and competitive pricing. The place was very clean and nicely decorated. I will for sure be back. Highly recommend!

Just had my haircut with Despina, showed her two pictures and she knows what I want right away, blow dried my hair nicely, will go back to her again!

Despina at Jason-​David rocks! I’ve been going to her for a couple years now and I’ve always been happy. Not only is she kind and fun, she really knows her stuff! She’s a brunette and I’m a blondie and she always knows exactly what to do. I HIGHLY recommend Despina.

I’ve been stylist-​free for a while and I now go to this hair studio. Large hair salon/​studio and the service is friendly and my stylist is very talented. Richard is my stylist and super talented, in the industry for a while, he’s funny and talented!

First things first, I LOVE my hair cut from this salon but I don’t remember who did it! She was mid 30’s, maybe early 40’s with dark shoulder length hair and stook about 5’4. It still looks great and fresh!
My partner liked his hair at first but after the first wash he thought it was too short (originally it was past his shoulders, 3 – 5 inches had been taken off) and he looked like a «douche». I’m sure this place is better suited for men with short hair, not long flowing curly manes!
The hair wasn’t so much the issue though…
So I brought my boyfriend and I in to get our hair done after finding a groupon-​now deal. I said on the phone that i was bringing my partner in and what we’d like done. While I like my hair, he’s not such a fan of his but that isn’t where the complaint lies. It lies with his stylist, Marium.
I don’t mind a flirtatious stylist and I noticed her flirtiness with my boy immediately when she asked him to go with her without even acknowledging my existence which i thought was unprofessional (is it not supposed to be ladies first in these situations?) considering I was sitting right there, but no big deal. However, throughout the entire wash/​massage/​styling process the flirting got to be a little too much, even for him. My boy came to ME and told me she went over the top with the flirting and with the head massage and started rubbing his ears and neck so much so that he opened his eyes to see if it was me. She was breathing heavy and humming throughout the process. He went to get his hair washed 5 minutes before I did and was still getting his head massage well after I had gotten up from the chair.
After this she asked my b/​f if I was his g/​f and he said that yes, indeed I was. In turn (and this is him telling me this) she said to him «oh… well, whatever happens in Vegas stays in Vegas then, right?»… Really?
She also brought up the fact that she had gone to a strip club the night before and asked my b/​f was into strippers, when he said he wasn’t she said, «what kinda guy isn’t into strippers?»
He said the entire cut was a combination of her heavily criticizing the way he likes/​cares for his hair and blatant over the top flirting.
I get that stylist can be flirty, and I tend to let it go even though it was really obvious but from what he told me it was super inappropriate. His comments were, «If I ever know a guy who needs some attention and his hair cut I know where to send him!». The hair style thing was my treat and because I was done before him (surprise) I quickly paid and tipped appropriately. After my b/​f was done he came to me to ask if I had tipped her. I said I had and he replied with «i sure the hell wouldn’t have» and proceeded to tell me the story.
I had planned to leave the whole thing alone until it was him that came to me with these complaints,.
It was me who had made the appointment in the first place and made it clear I was bringing my boyfriend in with me.
I had mentioned earlier that I was going to be covering both cuts and I sure as hell was not interested in paying another woman to go ridiculously overboard flirting with my boyfriend while I am 4 feel away in the other chair.
I sent in a complaint to the salon and acknowledgement that it was inappropriate behaviour but I wanted to make sure to let people know I’ll happily send my guy friends to this salon to see her if they’re lonely, I’ll just warn my girlfriends not to send their men.

I had a hair cut with «Despina» about a week ago.
She did an amazing job with my unruly curly hair. I have not had a decent curly haircut in Vancouver before this. I have been getting loads of compliments since then. I love the fact that I don’t have to do anything other than put some basic products into my hair and let it dry.
It is worth mentioning that not every hair stylist can understand curls! And I think the ones that do are just really hard to come by.
The other best thing is that she doesn’t push you to buy any products.
Last words: My search for a hairstylist is over! Girls with curly or wavy hair just go to her! You will love the results!

I had my hair fixed and saved by Despina. She was awesome at fixing my hair that was previously terribly done by a hairdresser named Frank from the VIP salon & spa (kingsway branch– the metro paper deal). My hair was really long to my waist and I almost cried after what the VIP salon’s hairdresser done to me hair. Thankfully Despina made my day by sorting it out making me feeling beautiful again. She could tell what sort of personality I have and did the cut accordingly. I felt so confident after having my hair done by her. Will definitely recommend her and I am definitely going back to her for my next hair trim. She did a great job that’s for sure.
P.s She does the groupon deals (groupon nows). Try calling up that day, if it’s full they would put u the next day and would still offer you the groupon price if you mention it.

I went to see a stylist by the name of Connie Gallo after a recommendation from a friend for a colour correction and was not disappointed. The colour is gorgeous, and suits me very well. I’m not one to typically try a new stylist for such a dramatic colour change (and I’ve had basically the same colour for 15 years), but I was not disappointed. The cut is a quality cut and the colour is a high end job — shiny, rich, and suits my skin tone well. My cousin who is a hair dresser in Montréal saw it last week and said it was an excellent job and I trust her judgement implicitly. Although I’d read mixed reviews about this salon I couldn’t be happier with my hair — it’s sexy, healthy, and after 8 weeks the colour hasn’t changed or faded in any way — yay! I will keep going back and would recommend Connie to anyone.

I had a hair cut with Tina today… I got a last minute deal from Groupon and I was very impressed. The salon was really nice and Tina provided me with a great haircut and style. She was really knowledgeable and gave me advice and tips on styling my hair and keeping my hair healthy. She even pointed out a flaw in my last haircut and fixed it for me, so it looked amazing. I was really happy with this place and will go back.

I’ve been going to see Despina @ this salon for a couple yrs now for my curly hair and will never go anywhere else. She’s great at knowing how to handle my hair which is very thick & very curly — almost afro curly. She knows how & what to cut and I’m always satisfied. Definitely recommend her to my curly haired people out there!

I’ve seen Jolene from years and have loved every cut and colour I’ve gotten. I’m generally underwhelmed by other salon staff, but completely awed by Jolene’s ability to cut my naturally curly hair beautifully every time.
Jolene’s never pushed product or encouraged me to do anything I’m not comfortable with. She is pretty busy, so sometimes it takes a while to get an appointment, but she’s well worth it!

I’ve been to many salons for men’s cuts from cheap to expensive, and I always end up going back to Jolene at Jason Davids. She is fantastic! So good, that I ‘forced’ my wife to finally go there and she loved it too. Then she goes somewhere else, is disgruntled, then returns to Jason Davids again! I’ve been going to Jolene for 7 years now and perfect every time! Highly recommended.
