Tatiana is the best! I’ve been getting lash extensions for years and this was definitely my best experience ever. Fun, clean, professional and super amazing space. Tatiana gave me the most beautiful and full set of lashes I’ve ever had and was able to work with my fussy lashes and twitchy eyes. And they’ve lasted forever! Super impressed with both Tat and Beautique. Can’t wait to go back!

This place is awesome! I have tried getting my eyelashes done with other people and they didn’t look nearly as natural as when Joanna did mine and they lasted much longer. I’m getting mine filled today along with a few friends and it’s been 4 weeks and they still look pretty good. I have had so many compliments on mine for those that are in the ‘know’ and for those that don’t they just complimented me on my eyes and had no idea my eyelashes were fake. The space is great with good people and good tunes.
I also went for a consultation with Summer from La Belle Atelier Skincare and she was not only really sweet and friendly she was very thorough in her consultation and I have enjoyed the services and products she recommended. Way better than going to a spa, it’s comfy and no-​fuss and Summer is awesome at skincare.

BEST EYELASH STUDIO IN THE LOWERMAINLAND… I can’t say enough good things about this place! Joanna and her team are amazing. Such a relaxing atmosphere, professional, and quality lashes.
I had a terrible experience about a year ago from a well-​known studio — I was over charged and the lashes looked terrible and fake. When I expressed how unhappy I was they told me next time they would throw in a couple of extra lashes to make me happy. I was so turned off from lashes and was convinced that this would be my experience every time no matter where I went. About a year later I decided to give lashes a try one last time… After find Joanna’s website I decided I would give this studio a try. I was impressed with her website FAQ and pricing. They don’t charge based on how many lashes they use… they charge a flat fee.
My first time was with Christina. She is an amazing eyelash tech — she helped me get over my fear of bad lash jobs. She was patient with my questions and went through step by step of how to take care of them. I had no irritations and I couldn’t see any glue or felt sticky. This was completely different from my previous experience. I couldn’t believe how natural they looked and how long they lasted.
I’ve been back for 4 fills now (yes — they will fill your lashes more than once) and every single time I walk away happy and in love with my lashes.
I’m so happy to have found such a great place where I feel comfortable and relaxed. I would absolutely recommend Joanna and her team over and over again.

I decided to check out this place after the amazing reviews! I must say I have my pros and cons. I must admit I do have very sensitive eyes, but I have gotten eyelash extensions four times before and I have never had an issue with them. My eye lid was lifted a view times during my appointment which allowed the fumes to enter my eye. This obviously really irritated my eye even more, so it continued to water = not letting the glue fully seal. A bit too much glue was used (it was pretty crusty), but my eyelashes looked amazing right after. By the time I got home though, literally almost all of my eyelashes had already fallen out by night time on one of the eyes (probably because of how much it was tearing), so I already looked silly with one full eye and the other feeling ‘naked’. I was allergic to the tape that was used so that day I had to go to the doctor and he prescribed me cream to put into my eyes. this really was not fun and I had to pay an extra $ 40 for this prescription on top of the amount I paid for my lashes. Joanna was very helpful throughout the process, but to be honest I would not recommend going if you have sensitive eyes. My girlfriend had the same issue as well. It was a bit of a bummer spending so much money before my vacation and ending up with an infection and only one eye full of extensions.

As a professional Makeup Artist I get my makeup stared at often as its a reflection of my work– that being said when I wanted to try the Eyelash Extension Trend I KNEW I had to get them done by the best of the best! This lead me to the doors of Joanna Keller Beautique! First and foremost her customer service has been nothing short of impressive. She is quick to respond, super friendly, knowledgable when asked about any products and has also helped me gain the healthiest natural lashes under the extensions with her helpful recommendations and thorough aftercare instructions! Her studio is comfortable yet trendy with a great ambiance! Joanna has left me with an extremely high standard that another salon /​technician wouldn’t be able to fill. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a place to get their lashes done! Joanna is professional and completes my daily look with her beautiful lash skills!

I had a new set put on by Joanna about 4 weeks ago and just needed a fill last night! I am a lash techs worst nightmare because I literally face plant into my pillow every night but these beauties lasted waaaaaay longer than I ever thought.
I was so lucky to have Joanna open up an hour early to squeeze me in! I met her in the lobby of the Paris Block (which is such a cute building!) and she walked me into her loft apartment. She lives and works from the studio but you’ve never know it. Seriously this place is so rad!!!
I was VERY nervous about being upsold on my lashes or having them cost a small fortune after she had already applied them so I causally joked that I wanted them as full as possible but that I didn’t want to spend 1 million dollars. She laughed and said that she doesn’t charge as much as other places and that it won’t cost me a fortune.
Here is what I loved.
1. Joanna is so rad! She is funny, kind and talented!
2. They were so accommodating by opening up an hour early for me.
3. My lashes looked unreal for four whole weeks! I’ve never experienced this before. Everyone kept asking me if I had them refilled yet but they were the same ones!!!
4. The studio is really nice!!!
5. The price. I didn’t feel ripped off or upsold. This happens a lot in lash studios and I felt like the value for money was really fab!
I docked 1 star for a few reasons.
1. I am fairly certain she used scotch tape on my face which left my skin irritated and didn’t feel nice. Other places I have been use adhesive pads and I think I prefer it. I had marks on my face from this for a few hours.
2. I could smell smoke/​weed on her hands as she was touching my face and although I am certain she washed them I didn’t like it. It made my face feel filthy afterwards.
Either way I HIGHLY recommend checking this place out before heading to a major lash studio.

Customer service was great, Leah was really friendly. My lashes looked great, I didn’t have any irritations to the products used, but I found the lashes to be a little gluey. That’s to say I could feel the glue to the touch, like it was on the chunky side. Usually when done well it’s almost totally smooth to the touch. I’ve been getting my lashes done for about a year but im often in the move so always in search of a new lash tech in each city. I chose to go here cause all the reviews were five star reviews, so I was a little surprised when the finished product wasn’t quite as flawless as I’d expected.

Amazing lashes at a very affordable price for what you get! Great customer service though I always fall asleep when I go! Leah and Joanne always have me leaving with amazing very real looking lashes that last for weeks! I don’t think Ill ever go back! Also her dogs are adorable!

I came to Joanna Keller to get my bridal make up and hair done. Our wedding was outdoors and was a rather low-​key event and so I came here for the first time on our wedding day. Joanna’s studio is stunning and her work is incredible. My make up and hair were absolutely perfect. Not only did they align with the photos I showed her, but they also matched perfectly to our setting and my dress. I would absolutely come back here and recommend her to anyone looking for beautiful hair and make up.

Wow, customer service is amazing. The owner is coming in on a day the studio is closed to assist me. This is just excellent. Thank you Joanna!

After having lash extensions done so many times by numerous lash technicians at different salons throughout Vancouver (approx 7 different places), I finally found Beautque. After 3 years of having my eyelashes done at all these other places, I was never 100% satisfied with just one place. Sure they looked great but they either started falling out immediately or after a couple months of having them done and refilled every 2 weeks, I would have stubs left and spaces and lashes that were pretty much destroyed. I was so sick of this and when I finally came to BEAUTIQUE, I had really healthy eyelashes or so I thought. I had taken a 3 month break and then had gone to one place in Vancouver that had great reviews. Well I thought they looked beautiful until they started falling out the same day as I had gotten them .(I followed all the rules and even took a an extra day or 2 of not having any water near them. After a week of following all the lash rules to a T, I already needed a fill. (and I had the Russian Volume 3D done) and I had lost about 75% of them.. I was at my wit’s end when I finally found Beautque and made an appt. a couple days later. Leah did my lashes and unfortunately she had to take my existing ones off and start fresh cause the ones I had on where much to heavy for my lashes (the length, especially). I had a quick peek in the mirror after she took them all off and couldn’t believe how destroyed they were, especially my left eye. And this was after getting lash extensions one time at some crappy salon with great reviews, after taking a 3 month break. Leah suggested a few options for me but ultimately she let me decide on what I wanted to do re the length, the amount… etc… I went with Leah’s suggestions and 3 hours later, (cause I did the Russian Volume), I was so happy with the results. She is not only knowledgeable about everything re lash extensions but her work speaks for itself. I was so happy, I could cry. Well now, almost 4 weeks later, I’m finally going in for a fill now. That has been unheard of for me. I can actually still go out without them looking like I’ve lost most of them. I can’t believe how great this place is, and the prices are totally affordable and Leah is a sweetheart. I have an appt this Thursday and I’m looking forward to it. I will never go anywhere else but Beautique. Joanna was away in Europe when I had them done, but I’m looking forward to meeting her this week. Best eyelash place in Vancouver, and I’ve been to so many. I’m serious, if u are reading this, don’t go anywhere else. Cause u have found the best!!!

There is a reason why this business has such incredible reviews, Joanna is so professional and amazing at what she does! I had never had lashes extensions done before but after much encouragement from friends, I thought I would give it a try. After telling Joanna about my nervousness, she walked me through the entire process and made me feel at ease right away. She gathered that I wanted more of a natural look, and after almost two weeks I’m still getting compliments on how full my lashes look! The studio has a really cool and relaxed vibe, with a beautiful custom mural along with clothing from local designers for sale. Overall, one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had, and will definitely become a regular!

Joanna is my go to lash girl in Vancouver. She takes pride in her work and does a great job each time! She’s also extremely friendly but non-​intrusive so we can have a good chat, or I can take a nice nap while getting my lashes done :) She just moved into a bigger space and I love it (probably also because she is now closer to my home: p)
She has 2 cute small dogs and they’re always a hoot. Free entertainment on the side!

AMAZING LASH EXTENSIONS! I had my lashes done by Leah and she applied the lashes with meticulous precision and was extremely professional and gentle. Both Joanna and Leah were very friendly, down to earth and very knowledgable and experienced with lash extensions, so I felt completely at ease. The studio space also has a great vibe — there’s a huge wall mural and the beds were luxurious with soft blankets and pillows. I would highly recommend getting your lashes done by either of these sweet ladies — my lashes look incredible. Thank you!!!

I have been going to Joanna for my eyelashes for over a few years now. Just recently I went to a salon in yaletown to get my eyelashes done and had the worst experience possible. Joanna is so delicate and is an expert when it comes to eyelashes. As the saying goes, you don’t know what you have till it’s gone. I now will never go anywhere else or let anyone else touch my eyelashes unless it’s Joanna. Joanna makes sure you are very comfortable and offers a great space. She always puts the client first!

Joanna made me look amazing for my graduation ceremony! She booked me for 3.5 hours and tirelessly worked her magic on me :) I’ve asked for lash extensions, hair & makeup. And she did an outstanding work! I would highly recommend her to anyone!

After having lash extensions done by two different lash technicians and always feeling very disappointed with the results, I kind of gave up on the whole idea of them. I moved on to using lash growth serums for a year which worked amazingly… apart from the fact that my eyes were red like the devil and itchy as hell. I got super long natural lashes but I had to quit lash growth serums in the end to.
As I was heading off to South Africa for 3 weeks and knew it wouldn’t be a good environment for makeup, I really wanted big lashes to compensate. I have seen Joanna’s work many times and figured I would give her a go myself. She completely customized my lashes and really listened to what I wanted. They lasted for four weeks! Beyond my expectations.
I noticed after my trip that the shape wasn’t exactly what I wanted and when I explained it to her, I realized that I had been asking for the wrong look this whole time. I actually wanted more of a rounded, Betty Boop shaped opposed to the cat eye, long on the ends look I had been asking for. She did my lashes a 2^nd time and they were spot on perfect! I know who to go to from now on ;-)

When you’re a blonde masquerading as a dark-​haired vintage vixen of awesome, you have to consider a few things… first, to pull this off, you MUST be a master of mascara — because blonde eyelashes with a black bob makes you look like a washed out, crazy person.
However, I haven’t quite mastered the make-​up thing yet. With the exception of being able to put on a decent wing tipped eyeliner (which takes multiple tries and at least ten minutes… try mastering liquid eyeliner with a tremor guys. It’s FUN), the rest of my makeup is just sort of blobbed on. Including my mascara. Which inevitably ends up ALL over my face by the end of the day.
And don’t even get me started on the few times I tried fake lashes. Let’s just say — I know what to do when you glue your eyelids together and have been quietly judged by my threader when she found fake eyelash bits in my eyebrows…
So when everyone and their dogs seemed to be jumping on this eyelash extension trend, I started snooping.
Long eyelashes, 24 hours a day, NO MAKEUP?!
Where the hell do I sign up?!
I searched Unilocal.Snooped websites. Checked prices. Joanna was in my short list for my first trial run but I have to admit, i’m not always keen to go to a non-​storefront so though her prices were hands down the most reasonable, I was hestitant.
Luckily that same day, a good friend mentioned that she gets her lashes done by Joanna and with a glowing reference — I was sold. And I will be back. Why? Well, let me break it down for you:
Booking — SUPER easy. I emailed/​texted her (yes, texting appointments… best thing ever) and had an appointment the next day. She’s moved down to Gastown but parking was a snap and I got to hit Milano for a macha on the way in — awesome.
She’s adorable. And SUPER friendly. What would have been a quick 40 minute appointment turned into an hour and a half because we got to chatting about the area. She is so welcoming that you’re immediately at ease. Plus her live/​work studio space is cute as a bugs ear.
She’s educated as heck in the world of lashes. She’s worked at most of the places that had hit my short list before venturing out on her own and she knows her stuff. Super great at explaining the ways of the lash to a newbie and detailed in care/​maintenance info.
She also does makeup! And she carries an awesome, vegan makeup line! Surprise!
While you’re getting your lashes done — there aren’t people crashing around or phone ringing. You’re just hanging out on a super comfy bed, chatting. Except your eyes are taped…
She doesn’t seem to charge per lash but only by set/​refill. Most places seemed to be per lash — 30 lashes = $ 50 lashes = $$, etc. Which is confusing when you don’t know what the hell you want.
She has the world’s cutest pug.
I am now sporting some seriously lengthy lashes. And I didn’t put makeup on this morning. It was winning.
As this is a first time lash experience, i’ll update as I go on how long they last, refills, etc. But so far — i’m liking this fool proof girliness.

I love it when the stars align and things happen the way you want. I had been thinking about getting eyelashes done for quite sometime. After finding a review for BeautyINK I called Shauna who is no longer accepting new lash clients. I called one of the ladies she recommended. Joanna was very friendly and professional on the phone. It was the day before Valentines day and she offered to wave her mobility fee to come to my house since she is moving to Gastown. She happened to have an opening the very next morning at 10am and that worked perfect for me!
We set up shop on my sofa, by the window. First she taped my eyes so they would be separated and then delicately applied each lash. I was in a very energetic mood and we (or perhaps I) chatted for most of the session. All the smiling made some of the tape wrinkle so try to keep the jokes to a minimal! :D There was no pain at all and before I knew it she was on her way. And just in time too because the bf was on his way home for lunch. After some extra eye lash batting, he definitely noticed!
I cannot wait to visit Joanna in her new Gastown location coming March 2013. If you are lucky enough to see her before the end of February when she is waiving her mobility fee, take her up on the offer! Otherwise it is definitely more than worth the $ 10 to have her come to your location. (I imagine she wil be raising it soon). I tried to make arrangements for a make up session, but alas, the stars did not align for that one.
This young lady with four years experience was very professional and presented herself with a lot of integrity. She is on her way to developing a name for herself in this business. You can tell she loves what she does! Thanks Joanna, hope you enjoyed the chocolate candies!
Lash Maintenance: No water first 24 hours. This includes crying (I asked). Try not to sleep with your face in the pillow. That can be hard since we have no control over our bodies at that time! I usually wake up and brush lashes with eyebrow brush. I think the left side is gonna go first. Joanna said they would last 2 – 4 weeks. I feel so pretty now though. I did not think it would make me feel this different. I love them!
