Delicious Filipino home cooking. A cut above the rest. There’s a decent selection of dishes to choose from and you’re good with any of them. I’m regular here because I appreciate the quality of food they have. My favorite is the lechon paksiw, slightly sweet and the right amount of flavor in the sauce. Not too greasy just the way I like it. I took my mom here once and she was impressed with the food too. Customer service is friendly, but don’t expect rainbows and sunshine though, it’s a canteen after all. Get your food, eat it. Love it.

Had to try again today. was passing by and was hungry for a quick take-out. First, its over-priced. Second, you get a service — bad service with no smiles nor thank you’s. i said thank you 3 times and I never got any response back! the server did not seem to enjoy working there. the afritada was good, the squid was salty, the lumpia… what lumpia? oh i thought it was just fried rolled up wrappers!

Very rude. I didn’t mind that they were loud in the back but the lady who was serving was very rude she looked uninterested.

My first choice for quick filipino food… it’s been my kitchen for the last 2yrs: D No long line-ups. If you are looking for gourmet and full service this isn’t the place for you… But for those that are hungry after work and can’t be bothered to cook at home. this place is for you. Over the years have created a relationship with the staff — they know what I usually order and not need to ask me: D

One of the worst customer service. Rushing your customers to order food just because the server«has to eat» is just rude and unacceptable. I was shocked at the prices for such small servings! I called to give feedback and stayed calm talking to them on the phone as I wanted them to know what their staff has done, so that they won’t lose customers. The person at the other end of the line was apologetic until she hung up on me. They then blamed it on bad connection when in fact the it was working perfectly fine. Their BBQ chicken was dry and too sweet. You’ll find better Filipino dishes elsewhere. This place is not worth going to.

Yup! I’m a fan! This a cute Filipino buffet style restaurant in an area that’s full of the same ol’ diner/bar food. I like this place a lot because it reminds me of my mom’s homecooked asian meals. I always get the combo for around $ 8. You can 2 sides, rice and some soup.(just like mom would always make). It’s never busy(or at least when I go), so it’s a nice quiet meal and a sweet place to relax on the bustling main street. Overall, a great place if you’re craving asian comfort food.

Overpriced and the food looked and tasted like they’re old.

My first time at a Filipino restaurant and I was incredibly disappointed. The food is already prepared at a buffet behind the counter. Half of what I ordered was cold, and almost tasted stale. I went with a large group so several of the dishes were tasted and I can say everyone was disappointed. Even if it was fresh, the flavors were absolutely terrible. I will have to give Filipino food another try but definitely not here.

Took my brother out for lunch here yesterday. Not only is he a fan of Filipino food but he’s got a BIG appetite. So, the combo plate was a great deal. For $ 7.95 you can choose 2 items which comes with rice and sinigang(clear, tamarind that is nice and sour) soup. For an additional $ 1 you get an empanada and an egg roll(lumpia). Since we got there early(around noon), the dishes were hot and fresh. In fact, a half hour later they were still bringing new dishes out to the counter. So we went back and ordered additional combo plates to try other dishes. The mungo(mung bean soup with spinach and shrimp – similar to lentils in texture) was good. So were the beef short ribs and talong(grilled eggplant). The pancit(vermicelli noodles with vegetables and pork) was OK. My grandmother used to make this and I liked hers better than Josephine’s. My brother had liked the lechon(pork), but that looked too fatty for me. There were a lot of fish dishes but they were either in soup or deep fried. Not my favorite way to eat fish, so skipped those. We were so stuffed that we decided not to get dessert. This is NOT the place for vegetarians. Traditional Filipino cooking is all about fish and meat. Vegetables are just added to round out a dish, but is definitely not a big part of the meals. If I want a cheap, filling Filipino meal, I’ll keep this place in mind. But it isn’t one of those GOTTAGOTHERE places.

Not really a big fan of Filipino cuisine… too meat-centred for my vegetarian leanings. And somehow, the scent of their marinated meat infiltrates every fiber of my sweater. But for those who find meat more palatable than I do, this might be the place for you. Provided that you don’t wear any heavy knits. Specialties include pinakbet(seasonal vegetables stewed with fermented anchovy paste) and dinuguan(meat simmered in rich spicy gravy of vinegar, pig’s blood, chili and garlic).
