We had reservation at 8pm, got there on time and be seated around 8:20pm. We were starving so quickly order our food. We were waiting… Waiting… And waiting… After 20 mins there was only dipping sauce and soup base which was almost boiling to the bottom of the pot on our table. There were other 2 big tables waiting for their order too. Another 15 mins passed, we asked if our order is coming. And the waitress looked at us said: oh didn’t u get anything? And I’m like…: did you see any food on our table!!! It was so close for me and my friend to just walk out of the door. Finally they brought our food, but other shit and bad service happened over and over during our dinner. Its a long story and don’t wanna spend more time typing. If there’s minus star I could give I would!!! The food was just so so, not like other reviewers said is the best in town. I would rather go to the little sheep than here. Btw, when we just arrived the restaurant we saw they were cleaning a table customers Just left. They dumped all the left over food into the pot, but kept the green onion and other veggies which were not touched aside. I hope they don’t reuse those ingredients otherwise it would be freaking gross!!!

Awesome hot pot! Customer service was minimal, but we don’t really mind. Just tip accordingly. We also had a bit of waste leftover in the pot(which the menu says can result in extra charges). Not proud that we wasted food, but they didn’t charge us anything extra. Maybe because we ordered a lot of beer and were nice. Seriously though, Vancouver people need to stop whining about service when they are having AUTHENTIC food with, perhaps, authentic service style of that culture. Not every place needs to be like The Keg with«Hey there! You’re my new best friend!» service. Excellent food.

Expected so much from this place and felt disappointed because of satay broth. My sister and I freaked out from seeing oily bubbles in the soup. Whenever we ate cooked veggies and meat there was nothing but OIL. Yuck. DONOT order peanut satay broth it’s gross. Menu was good especially meat, veggies, seafood and snacks. Deep fried squid was YUMMY. It was hot and fresh you have to order this. Server was helpful. I ordered 1 on single items(quantity part was written in Chinese) and server came back explained misc, dumplings and seafood come as per piece. Also said meat and snack come as per dish. Good thing she helped since neither of us speak Chinese. Server added our bill incorrectly and later changed to the amount it should be. The total came around 53 $ which is lesser than Little Sheep. The downside– dirty messy washroom. I almost walked out with toilet paper hanging on my shoes. Spent some time taking it off. Floor was greasy dirty. I nearly slipped myself while leaving the restaurant. Extra charge if you want sesame sauce, chilli and etc. NO all you can drink option or refill option on drinks. My overall rating is 2 stars since the broth was nasty. I felt desperate for chilli oil or heat afterwards. Plus the floor and washroom were dirty. Servers were good. Too bad nobody mentioned about the broth here.

They were able to accommodate our group of 15. The table was pulled away from the wall so the person sitting at the end had the electrical cord to step over. The appetizers were good, incl. fish skin, fried shrimp, and calamari. They had to explain which items were only one piece vs. a plate full when ordering on the order form. The hand squeezed fish noodles and homemade dumplings were a nice addition I haven’t seen anywhere else. All the food were good and fresh. Service was decent for a Monday night when it wasn’t too busy.

Booked for 8 wait till 840 still waiting to be seated. There was a long big power cable hanging at the hallway my friend almost trapped over. Servers were rude and don’t care of the customers even we told them couple times we were booked for 8 and we were leaving. Not recommending. For you want to go to this place please think twice for your own sake. (Ps: I chosen this place because of positive Unilocal review)

This place is really clean and ingredients are fresh. Pros: — Really fresh meet and veggies. This restaurant was the best hotpot restaurant for this factor. — The lady, a maganer or owner, is kind. The server was not so great, but I do not expect the greatest service at the Asian restaurants so no problem for me. Cons: — They call it AYCE, but lots of extra charges if you want something else other than soy sauce and tea (They give you complimentary satay sauce for 1st round) — AYCE price was $ 19.95, but you have to pay for the broth which is around $ 8 – 10. I got peanut & satay broth which was $ 9.95. Thus, you will actually pay $ 30 per person at least(after tipping). –Caution: this was my first visit so I was not sure what/how much to order. They give you lots of lettuce for 1 order so do not order too much lettuce at once. You only get 2 pieces of sliced meet for 1 order so you may want to put 10 in order to get 20 sliced pieces. If you do not mind spending $ 30 for hot pot, this is the place to go as you will enjoy fresh ingredients.

I rarely give out 5 stars but when I do it must be something I would go back and recommend others to go to. This is THE place for AYCE hot pot in Vancouver. It is by far the first AYCE hot pot place where I left happily and can’t wait to go back. This place looks really clean. The tables are relatively big so that the dishes are easily placed on the table. The place smelled like drunken chicken because a lot of people order that. The menu looks pretty easy to order. They have a pretty nice selection of things to order. They claim that they cook their broth for 6 hours every day. I can see why though. Too bad they didn’t have a plain chicken soup one that I normally order. Yes I’m pretty boring when it comes to this. Food wise, it’s awesome. The veggies and meat are all pretty fresh. I mean at least I can’t taste any freezer stuff. I love their hot food because they were all deep fried and they gave a reasonable amount on each plate per order. There were deep fried pawns, squid and fish skin. All really good too. I also love how they give you a cup of soy sauce, a plate of satay sauce and a dish of green onions all included in the AYCE price. Their drunken chicken soup base is what we ordered and it was pretty good. Just that the herbs and what not always got it the way because neither myself nor my boyfriend like to eat it. Service wise is same old. They were quick on refilling our water for our pots and letting us know their specialty dessert which as crème brûlée(don’t get it. it taste like egg tarts with a sticky layer of sugar). It was on for a promotional price as long as you like their fb page and check in. It was 1.00 more instead of paying 2.99. But I wasn’t here for this anyways. So, it wasn’t a surprise that it didn’t taste good. As much as I give 5 stars for this place, it’s got some areas of improvement such as having vents that wouldn’t fog up the windows. I can tell it was really stuffy when we walked in. I can’t imagine this place in the summer when it’s already pretty hot outside. Another thing is the front entrance. The entrance is a bit slanted when you walk in so please be careful. This is also not the place to go if you plan on eating lots of seafood. They don’t exactly have much of a selection for that. Overall, I have to say it’s a good place to go if you love meats in your hot pot over seafood.

Best AYCE hot pot around. Make that best hot pot period! They have wide selection of meats, hand made shrimp balls and even have bounties of tung choi and pea pods which was a bonus. BUT the real kicker was the plate of Wagyu(usually 10 slices) for $ 2.95!!! It was so good and I ended up ordering like 6 plates which was totally worth it!!! If you’re on a budget, then recommend you eat the premium beef or marinated beef because once you have the Wagyu, you just can’t go back.

Very tasty and fresh ingredients. If you like them on Facebook you will get free desserts and free homemade tofu puffs! Great deal and open late! Very attentive service and newly renovated. Definitely recommend if you have hot pot cravings and don’t wanna spend too much.

All you can eat [AYCE] hot pot joint. Good price considering the quality of the food. Venue is clean, service is prompt, and they gave you exactly what you ordered. No need to order«100 pieces of beef» in hopes of getting 20. Large selection of food. Their various meatballs were great. Vegetables, in particular the mushrooms, were fresh. Definitely recommend.

I’ve worked near this place for 2+ years, but they recently converted to AYCE Hotpot for dinner only. And I couldn’t be more pleased. Food was good quality, service was friendly, and best of all: we could catch the Canucks game there! Definitely recommend over any of the Richmond AYCE places(I’ve lived in Richmond for 25+ years so I’ve had all the AYCE places)!

If you’ve frequented the area, you’ll notice that this used to be Sun Yee Chinese Restaurant; not to fret, it’s run by the same owners still. Hot pot runs for about 19.95, little bit cheaper than other places that usually charge around 21.95 or 22.95. Most of the meats are very fresh tasting and not freezer burned. The balls all tasted very fresh(their fish balls are apparently made in house and they even sell them to other hot pot joints!). Would highly recommend!

Decent hotpot without going to Richmond. Charges on all sauces is a bummer but at least you get unlimited soy sauce and complimentary sesame and satay sauce for the first round. The selection was decent with staples you expect. Some great surprises include enoki and oyster mushroom, hand squeezed fish noodles, and deep fried salt and pepper squid, shrimp, and salmon skin! The bonuses alone make this place worth the return visit.
