Juna Photography is a boutique wedding and portrait photography studio based in Mount Pleasant, Vancouver.

Owner Justin Morrison: «I strive to create images that feel natural and authentic, avoiding the trends and the fads to deliver timeless images that my clients will treasure for a lifetime. I believe in photographs that speak about my clients and their deep feelings for each other, not about me as a photographer. My work is really a collaboration between my clients and I. We work closely together to ensure that I can do more than just meet their needs. I want to provide them with photographic memories that they will treasure for many years to come.»

History

Established in 2008.

Ever before I picked up a camera to photograph a wedding, I was a guest at many, many weddings. I’m originally from Ireland and weddings in Ireland are always big; everybody goes all out, nothing spared. So I’ve always enjoyed weddings, and when I decided to pursue photography seriously, and I realized how much I enjoy photographing people, wedding photography was a natural fit for me.

Through the work that I do I’ve met some wonderful couples, and despite the stereotypes that people assume when it comes to wedding days, I’ve had nothing but good experiences. So don’t ask me for any horror stories!

I originally came to Vancouver to study photography, with the intention of returning to Ireland to start my photography business. One day while wandering the streets of East Vancouver I bumped into a beautiful young real estate agent. We struck up a conversation about some subsiding houses and before long I had agreed to do her new headshots. That headshot session would be my first unofficial date with the woman who would be my wife within the year, an incredible whirlwind romance which would change my life forever. So here I am still in Vancouver and raising a family! And what an incredible accidental home it is, truly a photographers dream. I am continually finding new and wonderful locations for my amazing clients, with whom I look forward to building long and happy relationships.
