Kaboodles Toy Store

I was at this store today and experienced the worst in customer service. I will give them 1 star because they have cool things. I say a lady followed by a gentleman recieve the worst service. They seemed unwilling to refund an overpriced crappy toy. The customers were from out of town. Had purchased two items, one broke. They would refund that but wanted them to keep the other one knowing it to was a piece of crap. Because of this, I laid down my merchandise ($ 200.00+) and walked out. I will never return here. No manager in the store on a very busy weekend either. Very very poorly managed.

This toy store is wonderful! I had gone in with only the intention to do some window shopping while waiting for some friends, and ended up spending a fair bit of money. The staff were amazing and very helpful. I was curious about what a product did and the knowledgeable staff were very eager to help me out and explain the item to me. They also have the most amazing socks i’ve ever seen! I want them all! I would definately recommend this place to any of my friends in the future, even if they didn;t have kids this is a great place to shop!!!

I cannot praise this toy store highly enough! Whenever I go in there I nearly always find what I am looking for, and if I can’t the staff are more than happy to help me look or speak to one of their other stores to try and help me track down something more specific. They have even helped me out when I’ve been at a loss of what to buy for a birthday present or secret santa gift, their product knowledge is very impressive and the women who have served me have been an absolute God send at times. For such a small store they have a huge variety of products for both adults and kids, and their Lego and stuffed animal sections are surely every child’s dream. I can honestly say I have never had a bad experience at Kaboodles :)

I went in there with the intention of finding something cool for my niece, however, the more I looked around at the store, the more I forgot about my niece and bought some stuff for myself… shame on me. Even though I’m 30, I love Toy Stores and I’m not shy to admit that once in a while… okay more often that I should be admitting, I buy the cool things for myself. Let’s face it, there is a kid in all of us at any age. There were more adults buying for themselves than there were kids. Those with kids, used them as an excuse to look at stuff for themselves. I am very good about getting information out of people, therefore, got these adults to admit that there were enjoying this guilty pleasure. The cool thing about this store is that there is stuff for kids and kitsch things for adults. This is one of the best toy stores in the Granville Island kids market area. Bought a sandwich box for myself and some Gumby toys for my best friend Sharon whom shares my love for things like these.

My overly cheerful attitude at 10:00 am on a Friday seemed to be too much for the lady at the til. She was indulging me to be polite, however, I could tell from her expression that she needed me to chill out a bit. I was just on a fun high, caffeine free. Toys can do that to you. Toys are like Red Bull to me.

Kaboodles carries A LOT of stuffed animals including «Ugly Dolls.» They also carry games, puzzles, science toys, and craft toys. They also carry balloons and will wrap your gift for you in case you are heading straight to a party. Teachers get a 10% discount.
