They have a lot of things going for them: good beans (Elysian), cheap parking, a nice bright open space, and friendly staff.
They have couple outlets near the window seats. It’s a perfect spot to get stuff done (i.e. Unilocal reviews).
No free wi-​fi as far as I can tell (unless you have a shawopen account).

This has to be the loveliest café in Vancouver. It is very European in that it is both a café and a design store. The coffee is wonderful as are the teas and pastries. I did not have a chance to try any other food items but we will definitely go back. It was very elegant but also friendly and relaxed.

Great new café with Elysian beans. One inside wall of the café is filled with trendy gifts like an Alessi kettle or an Alvar Alto vase. Nice and clean with lots of room and seating outside for when it warms up.
I find myself returning here regularly, not just because of the convenience and great coffee, but the friendly, warm, and welcoming staff. Makes the coffee taste that much better!

Amazing baked goods! Really cool hybrid shop coffee and designer objects. Modern space with wood accents and really friendly staff.

Oh man… this place. I’ve never tried coffee before, but this just be my «gateway café» to becoming a (nother) coffee-​addicted Vancouverite.
DISCLAIMER: My significant other worked with the owners to help with their website. I also have become friends with the owners and sampled many of their goodies.
That being said, everything I’ve tried here has been REALLY good. They make all their own pastries and meals in-​house, or get them deliver daily from Cadeau bakery in Gastown. I love the homemade Pecan Chewies, which reminds me of my family home growing up.
The coffee is from Elysian Coffee Roasters, and they brought in a new espresso machine from Seattle to make all their macchiatos, cappuccinos, etc.
The tea is from a local company called (ironically?) the Tea Guy. I had their ginger zinger tea and it yummy, and got slightly sweeter the longer you steeped it.
Prices are comparable to other coffee shops in the area.
Ambiance and clean and crisp. Super high ceilings and tall glass windows provide lots of natural light and a view of the park. Decent amount of AC plug-​ins if you need to study with a view.
What I find neat about this café is that there’s more than edibles at the store. There’s lots of designer brand homeware goods like Georg Jensen, Alessi, and others. It’s like a half-​café, half-​boutique hybrid store.
Service is very kind and welcoming. I hope you’re greeted there like I am; like a close friend.
