I order from here because they deliver! Wowhoo! That‘s a plus for convenience in my books. The portions are small, but honestly the price is so reasonable. The portions will definitely get you full if you’re ordering $ 10-$ 15 a person. We tried a variety of rolls and they were all good! I like that the menu gives you a variety of food options. Ordered here 3 times and will order again.

i enjoyed the service but my miso soup was microwaved and the chicken teriyaki wasn’t topped with teriyaki sauce. The chicken was also from the microwave. DID I MENTION the prawn tempura was soggy. I was not happy.

I love sushi, so I had to try this place when it opened up a block away from where I lived. Loved it, super yummy captain roll, super friendly staff and the one time they screwed up on a pick up order they quickly fixed it and gave me extras for the mistake. Mmm free chef specials. Still new so please treat yourself and support these people, wonderful place and the area was vacant of decent places.

3 stars for the food, and 5 stars for the service. Very clean restaurant, tea was refilled often, server was super nice. The food was fresh though it was not very flavourful. The same spicy sauce seems to be used for alot of the sushi and there wasn’t much other flavour. Also the tea is not what you get in sushi restaurants; more like what you’d get in a Korean restaurant. If you are looking for something convenient in the area go for it. If you are looking for authentic flavourful traditional sushi, this will not be it.

Great little spot. Excellent beef tataki, and their specialty rolls are seriously awesome. SJ roll is my new favourite sushi meal… their gome-ai is always fresh. Service is friendly and accommodating. Very glad to have this little gem near home.

Amazing food and some of the best customer service I have ever had. They always remember us, and it’s not as if we go that frequently but if we want sushi this is our place.

Been meaning to try this place over back in Nov when they were still renovating, used to be a hole in the wall, some Ikkyoo ramen that while wasn’t authentic, was decent value but sure needed a facelift. Recalled it totally being gutted out, actually date worthy material, perhaps for high school students still busing around and not wanting to bus all the way to DT, but I’ll digress; it’s nice enough, trust me folks lol. Dimmed lighting, clean walls, and darker wood finish, hardwood floors, think there was some bamboo theme going on but let’s digress again. So ordered free delivery from them on , and initially, disappointed in their takeout containers: glad they weren’t using styrofoam but it was the see-through plastic with elastic bands around them. Meaning that as soon as you peel off the bands, the lids pop up so fast before they hit your nose. But as soon as I popped the good bite-sized pieces of california roll and dynamite roll, this was pretty darn good, esp. for an eastside sushi joint. Fresh, nicely wrapped and done. 6&8 pcs respectively. Another nice touch were 2 full round takeout containers of soya sauce, PLUS4 individual packs. And white ginger too! Easy repeat.

Recently opened, now occupying the space of the old«Ikkyu Ramen Ten» Japanese restaurant. New owners are Chinese, the place has been remodeled to a more modern feel, although still a very small restaurant(4 or 5 tables) Since they’re newly opened, I’m willing to overlook a few things(slow, items out of stock etc.) and hope they will overcome these growing pains. The salmon sashimi was fresh, not giant size aka: Korean Sushi Joints. For the sashimi, the chef brought over a special low sodium soya sauce specifically for the sashimi which was a nice touch. The special soya sauce was not included with the takeout however and instead packets of Kim Lan Soya sauce. Gyoza and rolls pretty standard and on par with other sushi joints. Teriyaki Chicken Don, would not order it again, small bit of chicken with onions and mushroom sauteed and dump on some rice.
