King G Photo-Colour

i cannot even adequately describe how disappointed i am with king g/​g king photo. i didn’t even want to give them 1 star.
yes, i had a rush job, but it wasn’t completely unreasonable: 1 @ 11×14 fine art inkjet print. i also asked 3, maybe even 4 times if he was really able to get it done for me in 2 days — one of which was a holiday.

i didn’t even care that he was going to charge me 50% extra for the rush job. he had every opportunity to say no and i would’ve found someone else to do it.
2 days later (today), i return 1 hour after the promised time and there’s no mike (took the day off, and conveniently turned his cell phone off too) and no print. the lady working today took me upstairs to rummage around mike’s desk and sure enough my work order is just sitting there with no print in sight.
i left g king empty handed, but she did tell me to try warren down at CUSTOM COLOR on beatty street (yes, go there!). i headed down there, explained my situation to them and WITHIN HOURS my 1 fine art print was processed and i’ve already received a phone call saying that it’s ready to be picked up. not only did they pick up the slack for a totally unreliable company in their industry, they are also saving my butt from a potentially embarrassing situation with a client.
i am hoping for the people whose livelihood depends on the success of this business that this was a one-​off oversight at g king, but i will definitely not be returning.
