Food is edible. That’s pretty much it. At least you won’t pay too much for your disappointment. Gyoza were soggy and over fried. Miso soup has too much miso powder in it and was not even served warm. The rolls were nothing special and the tuna tataki was 4 pieces of slightly grilled and dry tuna. Find something better. Yes you can!

Really not good. It was deceptive because it’s clean in there. But the food was just not good. I’ll give 2 stars because they thanked me for giving me some water.

Delicious! The soft shell crab was the best I’ve had in the city and their bento boxes are amazing. Awesome California roll. Great value for the money. Highly recommend.

This place is not as bad as it’s being rated. I was greeted promptly, seated and served with efficiency and a smile. The food was average — nothing special but definitely not bad. I had a yakisoba dish and a side of one of their specialty rolls. There was nothing off about either. I enjoyed them finishing both dishes and contemplated doing another order. My friend didn’t enjoy his cheese-based roll but as i never enjoy those I can’t really factor that into this review. I would definitely return, the prices were great!

So friendly! We get takeout or eat here often and they are always so nice. The food is fast and several dishes are really good. I recommend the spicy agedashi tofu. Many of the rolls are excellent too! One example of their great service: We ordered a large amount of takeout to feed visiting family members and they included so many extras and treats. And when we went to pick it up they gave us a discount! So nice! A very small criticism, that I’m only posting so people can have a heads up, is I wouldn’t come here for things like sashimi. This place is best for fast, inexpensive, tasty, comfort food type things. The sashimi and more delicate dishes are really hit and miss. I think it depends on which chief is working. Over all, we like it here and will continue to go!

I was really excited to try this place, and I REALLY wanted to like it, but unfortunately, the food just wasn’t up to par. Let me start by saying that the service was great, waitress was very nice, food was prepared in a timely fashion, etcetc. The food, however, wasn’t of the same calibre. — sushi rice was warm, too soft, and not seasoned with enough rice vinegar — nori was mushy from the wet, warm rice. — tuna and salmon were both mushy and did not taste fresh — warm rice made the pieces of fish warm on the outside, while they were still the proper cool temperature on the inside — teriyaki chicken was dry and stringy — batter on the deep fried roll was stale I was sadly disappointed. They have the benefits of friendly staff, great location, fast prep, but the quality of food really needs to be re-examined.

Terrible quality. I was insulted that they were able to serve such bad quality sushi to us. I don’t even think the chef would eat what it served us. Do not waste your money or time over there. I give it one star because I cannot give zero stars.

I’ve had nothing but good experiences here. Really friendly staff and good food at reasonable prices.

I really wished I read the reviews before entering this restaurant. I ordered the Bento Box Combo 5 which was Chicken Teriyaki, BBQ Scallop & Bacon, 6 pcs of California Roll, 3 pc Gyoza and Green Salad all at a cost of $ 8.95. I tasted the Gyoza and to my surprise no sauce on the side was provided. I took a bite and paused for a bit. Ummm this is not pork Gyoza. It had a different taste. Then I tried the bacon and scallop… horrible. Tried the chicken teriyaki and this was the only thing on the bento box I could stomach. There was a piece of one inch long thin bone in the chicken that I pulled out of my mouth. The green salad had the usual Japanese dressing which had that nice citrus flavour. I neglected to try the California roll because my husband said the rice on his rolls were hard. The green tea was not served hot but lukewarm. I only enjoyed the miso soup. Overall less than average on taste! The atmosphere had a nice décor and furniture. It took the waitress almost 10 minutes to take our payment. We will not return, that’s for sure.

As far as sushi goes in Vancouver this was an incredible disappointment. The Ebi(baby shrimp) Sunomono did not have the right flavour at all. The mango on the Mango Roll was not ripe enough, the roll was big, loose and fell apart easily, and was mostly stuffed with California roll stuffing. Other rolls were similar and no sauces were used. The Nigiri was just ok. I will never go back.

This was a securing restaurant. The décor is nice and fancy w pretty furniture and art all over the place but other than that everything else was not good at all. Service was average though getting their attention is an art at times. The food was just horrible esp when their prices are not favorable either. The ramen was disgustingly flavorless and fatty. Their rolls fell apart before they made it to my mouth san their appys were just not delectable at all. I’ve seen their discount banner in the front since I’ve been there and there’s a reason for it but I still wouldn’t go there.

This is a ‘generous’ 3⁄5 rating. The food is your standard ordinary sushi. Used to come here once in a while til I found better Sushi around. One curious thing are the pigeons that live literally right above the front entrance pooing all over the ground. I’ve mentioned it to staff a couple times but they do nothing and almost seem to want to keep them there. I’m scared to ask why…

I wish I had read the reviews before I walked in! 1 star is generous for warm, soggy rolls that were served already fallen apart on the plate. It’s not that hard to do a little better guys!

My girlfriend and I go here all the time because it cannot be beat for the price. They currently offer 20% off for going after 4pm which makes this place so affordable to visit. For the price, it is by far the best restaurant I have visited in Vancouver. My girlfriend and I can order 6 rolls to share and it comes out to be cheaper then getting 2 subs at subway! I really enjoy the food and the quiet atmosphere.

My friend said this was really good Sushi. I wasn’t so sure. I was right. It’s about as good as it gets if you really don’t know your Japanese food. I would have marked them higher, except my Tobiko Sushi was really… ummmm off. It tasted moldy, or is that mouldy? I had to eat the whole thing just to make sure, before I gagged and then swallowed. OMG. Did I say that? I had some other dishes, but they weren’t to my liking either. If you have a friend from California who says food in California is better than here. Think again. Sorry, I wish I could have said better things. The service was nice. Luckily I was able to get away without getting sick. Maybe if you just order the cooked foods you’ll do much better. And besides, I’m really a really picky eater when it comes to raw food. Especially raw seafood.

For a fail safe meal order chicken teriyaki(it comes with miso soup) and the large prawn(versus fishy small) ebi sunomono. While the sprouts of your teriyaki are going to be super greasy-the teriyaki is nice on the rice they provide.

Don’t need to eat here to know that if you’re giving 10%-20% off for happy hour specials, etc., hey, i’m sure they’re targeting a certain market, but it ain’t high-quality that’s for sure. My motto is to just save $ on places like these. for sure not authentic. And ambience inside, isn’t really sushi-feel or date worthy. Maybe for those who work in the area and no where else to go on this side of Main St. No wonder they’ve gone through a handful of name changes in past 2 years or so.

You won’t catch me here ever again. I ordered: Spicy tuna roll, several pieces of nigiri and some edamame. The spicy tuna roll had no tuna in it, wtf? There was a sliver about as big as a cucumber sliver inside. Bland and tasteless. Each piece of nigiri was old and gross. The edamame tasted okay but it’s hard to mess that one up . There were two other tables inside and my order took over 20 minutes.

This is my «I was too lazy/busy to make lunch today» go-to option near the office. I usually order take-out and although the service is very fast, to save time you can always call ahead and your sushi will be ready 10 mins. later. With the exception of maybe one occasion, the fish is always fresh and the sushi is decent. Yes, there is better quality sushi to be found in Vancouver, but for the price and quick service, you get a very tasty and satisfying lunch. The servers are always very friendly too. I aways ask for a substitution in my maki combo and for a nominal extra charge they are happy to oblige. Inside the restaurant itself is your fairly typical Japanese restaurant décor and open kitchen. The interior is quite dark unless you sit by the window. Overall, a very good option for good quality but inexpensive sushi in the ‘hood.
