Dr Rod is a very kind and gentle dentist. He really knows his stuff and does great work. I’ve been seeing him for over twenty years and highly recommend him if you’re looking for a new dentist or are dissatisfied with who you see now. All the staff are absolutely great. You can’t go wrong here.

I found Dr. smythe in 2007 when I moved to the area. I moved out of kits in 2009 but I still go there. I’m always given lots of information about what going on and what my insurance covers. I never feel pressured to do any procedure. It’s always felt very honest and open at this office. Which I don’t think always happens. I’m one of those crazy people that love going to the dentist and I enjoy my time there.

I have been a patient of Dr. Symthe’s for years. I have always found him and the office personnel to be very warm, pleasant and helpful. I have been for cleanings /​check-​ups and general dentistry work. On several occasions, I have had to go back in to have little adjustments as the new dental work settled and they have consistently given me quick appointments fitting me in to take care of my needs, with patience and support. I enjoy watching TV during my appointments in one of most comfortable chairs I have ever tried! Also, the staff has been wonderful with a member of my family who is not at ease at all with dental procedures. They have taken their time with him, allowing him to grow more comfortable with each visit. I greatly appreciate this. Thanks to Dr. Symthe and his team!

If you are new to Vancouver and need a dentist you will be pleased you selected KITS POINT DENTAL GROUP. A warm smile from Jasmine, the receptionist quickly puts you at ease. The hygienic staff is highly skilled and professional. Dr. Smythe (no relation), is a calm, soft spoken man who is a technical wizard. With the utmost skill he has solved for me some very challenging dental problems .Joan Smythe

Came here because it’s close to where I live, but I gotta say, after 5 years of not bothering to go to the dentist, I’m a big fan.
Place was clean, comfortable and very friendly (both the receptionists and the dentist, definitely did not have an experience similar to Lara’s in that case).
A massive bonus for me was that with every tooth cleaning session, they additionally give you a pack of Crest 3D Whitestrips ($ 50 value!) and a very cute little cleaning package with travel items in it.
As far as dentists go, this place was definitely a winner for me. Not one complaint!

IF you want customer service DO NOT ever go to Kits Point Dental Group — I went there 4 months ago when my last job was ending, explained that I wanted to get any work that was covered done (I was in serious pain) before my extended benefits expired as I would not be able to afford it after that. My plan covered 100% of basic dental work. So, after 3 appointments to get a root canal done (it has never taken that many in my life), I was leaving the office and said I was glad they were paid up and was told FOR THE FIRST TIME, that I would be getting a bill as this Doctor’s rates were more than what basic covered, in other words he charged over and above the regular rates as set for dental work by the dental association and I was NOT communicated this before agreeing to the work.
So after receiving the bill a couple weeks later, I was in the same strip mall on Cornwall getting my morning coffee, only to be accosted by the receptionist publicly and loudly in the parking lot telling me I had better pay my bill, not asking me if I had received it (which I had only done the day before), BUT trying to embarrass me saying loudly my bill was now two weeks late, no it was not, I had only just received it. I told her I would pay when I returned from working in LA and that just as a result of the way she was treating me, I would never be back at their office, and I further requested a call from the doctor. She, Jasmine, was rude, offensive and seriously treated me with the worst customer service I have ever experienced, I still can’t believe that she actually tried to embarrass me by presuming I would not pay my bill and publicly proclaiming that. When I returned, I called the office to settle the bill, only to hear a message that said they were closed for summer holidays, I left a message requesting once again that the doctor contact me and to date have received no response.
So, today, I went in to the office to make a payment and settle this, to experience once again offensive, rude treatment by Jasmine and to be told that the doctor was given my message but indicating he was not going to bother calling me. Has everyone forgotten who the customer is??? What a shame as I am a professional networker and I would much prefer NETWORKING the good, but when it is completely unnecessary to treat me rudely and poor practice to overcharge me when it was clear I was only agreeing to work fully covered is not ethical in my opinion. Hopefully this review helps someone else make a better choice and at the very least ask to read the fine print as it will not be clearly explained, shady at best.

I’ve been a life long patient here, and I’ve never had any reason to contemplate otherwise. Friendly, gentle, knowledgeable. Everything you could ask for in a dentist!
