Lord’s Shoes and Apparel

I have shopped in many shoe stores, but not one with such quality and diverse shoes, clothing and accessories! I have a foot issue so I can’t just buy any cheap shoe. After my first couple of experiences at Lord’s, it is the only store I now shops at for shoes! There are a few reasons: the shoes are amazing! They have comfort and style all rolled into one! You don’t have to sacrifice comfort or style or vice versa! That is something you can not beat! Second: the value. Are the shoes a little more expensive? Yes, but you get what you pay for! Quality lasts longer so in the end you buy a pair of shoes at Lord’s and they will last much longer than that pair from the cheaper store. Lastly and most importantly, the lovely ladies from Lord’s! Jacqueline, Carly, Alison etc are amazing! They aren’t pushy and try to sell you what you don’t want! That is super important to me! Carly knows my style and pushes my boundaries on the type of shoes to try. I really appreciate this because I’ve gotten a few nice pairs of shoes that I normally wouldn’t look at because they are out of my comfort zone! The ladies get to know their clients and their styles so the visit is really an experience because it feels like you are just hanging out with friends not shopping! I would not shop any where else!

Located on Granville Street, Lord’s Shoes sell various brands for formal, comfy and casual shoes. Renovations probably need some work as it still look like its from the 90’s. Their prices are not the cheapest, but their shoes are of better quality. They do have a clearance rack by the front of the entrance and sometimes you can score a deal if you are lucky. There are also some funky-​looking shoes there and formal blingy shoes at the back. They also sell accessories if you are going for a formal event and need a pair of sparkly earrings or a crystal clutch. Sales associates are friendly and helpful. Street paid parking available.

I have size 11 feet and I have found my shoe store. After years of limited footwear options, I can now buy shoes/​boots that fit and look fab. Thanks to Carly and Jacqueline for great service this morning and to the owner for making this shop available to us ladies with awesome feet!

Eight years ago I happened upon this wonderful store and have shopped here ever since. They have had a lot of the same staff all these years who really know their stuff. Along with that a wonderful selection of shoes, boots, handbags and clothes. I have made many trips to this store when looking for something special and have never been disapointed! Last year even buying the most wonderful rain coat ever… everytime I wear it am asked where I found it! Great quality, great service and all in all a great experience! Lord’s is my go to for shoes and clothes. I have coveted many items in the place as the selection is unique. You won’t find the same styles all over town. The staff are friendly and knowledgable and focus on building relationships (they call me when items they think I like arrive new in store). Like most things in life if you want quality be prepared to make an investment but rest assured that they will provide you with lifetime service on anything you purchase. They have even sent my shoes off to be re-​soled for me. Lord’s is a prime example of what retail service should look like!

Lordy Lordy, Lord’s is quite simply the best store in Vancouver. The quality of the shoes, accessories and clothing is only surpassed by the service. Also a winning point for me is the unique clothing selection; two of my favorite designers have pieces from their collections here: Nadya Toto (good Canadian girl!) and Sarah Pacini. The oh-​la-​la gets a tad louder when you see these are reasonably priced! Never ceases to amaze me how such a diverse selection of shoes can be in one store. Need funky boots to dress up the jeans? Need stunning strappies for a night out with the girls? How about a bag that goes with everything you own? Check, check AND check. Another worthy reason to support Lords: It’s a small business! Shop local! Oh, did I mention the shoes?

Great selection for bridal and special occasion footwear, even in the fall/​winter when everyone else is selling boots. Some of the really nice shoes have sizes that go fast so that can be a bit of a disappointment. Prices are moderate to expensive. The salespeople are very helpful and friendly here. Bonnie helped me out as I held up fabric swatches to shoes. She made some good suggestions but I only ended up with one pair since they didn’t have my size in one of the other shoes I liked.
Sometimes finding street parking may be tough in the area but I was lucky to find a spot right outside their door. Don’t forget to bring coins or have a card ready for the meter.

Lord’s is a bit of a hit or miss store. I’ve come in here and found some great shoes and once I found an amazing top, which was unfortunately way too expensive for my budget. But other times I’ve been very disappointed with the clothing and shoes in stock here.
Lord’s is quite a large store, long and thin, so there are a lot of shoes to choose from, and if you head down the back of the boutique you’ll find a fair bit of clothing on sale as well.

Lord’s offers discerning shoppers some very beautiful shoes and an impressive variety of styles. Cute boots and shoes abound, with fun and funky twists to classic styles. Since the impending holidays are firmly upon us, about half of the collection featured glittering rhinestones on my visit. A lot violated my personal definition of taste. But hey, I’m just not a gal who goes for glitter.
There’s also a hidden boutique at the back of the store with some designer labels.

I recently started hunting for a pair of sexy stillettos to match a Betsey Johnston dress I’d bought ages ago. It seemed like Mission Impossible for a while, until I literally stumbled across Lord’s shoes on South Granville, where the motto is you don’t have to be a rock star to shut down the store (nab three girlfriends and you can book your own private shopping night). I found the price points in this super-​stylish shoe salon pretty reasonable (the range is about $ 50 to $ 450), and there are tons of famed designers to choose from, including Kenneth Cole New York, BCBG (Girl and Max), Arturo Chang, Nina Evening, Mary Frances evening bags, Donald J Pliner, Stuart Weitzman, Christopher Kon handbags, Mackage leather and cotton jackets and TeenFlo.
