Lykopis Archery is a traditional archery school that focuses on traditional, instinctive archery instead of modern competition target archery. Our classes are structured to begin with the modern recurve bow to develop form and muscle memory. Once students have passed a test to prove their ability they can choose to learn one of the four disciplines we teach — longbow, Asiatic composite, American flatbow and primitive bow. Our ongoing classes incorporate lessons on history, arrow fletching, equipment maintenance and more to help our students become well-​rounded traditional archers.

Patricia G.

Business Owner

Patricia Gonsalves was born on the Caribbean island of Barbados and developed her love of the art of archery as a child. With literary heroes like Robin Hood, Ivanhoe and the White Company as her heroes, Patricia used her passion for archery throughout her school career, incorporating the art into as many projects as possible from History to Physics to English.

Having spent over 30 years of training in and researching about historical archery, Patricia is considered to be one of only a handful of «Master Archers» in North America. She is also one of the preeminent Archery Consultants for film and TV, currently working as the Lead Archery Armorer for the CW’s Arrow.
