Found this place by accident. It’s large. I spent a good 60 minutes walking around at the models and model kits. Decent prices and great customer service. I was more into the puzzles and games.

A great place to find models and r/c related things. But beware that heaps of passive aggressive customer support awaits you. The owners are very pleasant as long as they get their way… Once they become passive aggressive and are called out on it, she becomes hostile! Even after you prompt hem that you can take your business elsewhere. They taunt you with more passive aggressive comments… Trust me, this store is not concerned with your patronage. I’ve personally experienced it. One customer that used to recommend this store by word of mouth. LOST…

If you need parts, repair or advice on anything hobby related this is THE go to place in Vancouver. Owner and employees are RC geeks and it pays off because they seem to know everything I throw at them. Prices are very good even when I compared to online and they did a mod on my old Team Losi car and its reminded me how much I love RC hobbies. thank you Magic Box for being around and being awesome

John and Wendy who run this shop are honest hard working individuals and run a great shop. Their RC plane and helicopter kits are all up to date and at very competitive prices. Cheaper there than even any of the Bellingham hobby shops and without losing in the exchange rate. They specialize in E-Flight, Blade and Parkzone brand aircraft. Lots of RC trucks, cars, rocket kits and rc boats too. it is the shop to go to if you live in Vancouver and are into hobbies.

There is a lot to be said about hobby shops in Vancouver. For the most part, they are extremely difficult to navigate through and usually only fulfills the needs for a specific niche market. For example. Model hobby shops are different from rc, or model stores are different from miniature stores. However, MagicBox seems to literally have everything! I stumbled on to this hobby store one day as I was driving around the area looking for breakfast. Being the nerd that I am. I couldn’t resist just passing by a hobby store I’ve never heard of. When I got inside I was awestruck. Model and miniature paints from all the brands I know, model kits from cars to ships to planes to the last dozen generation of Japanese rockets! They even carried scifi models such as the viper from battlestar and the serenity from firefly! I haven’t even heard of those models before. To surprise me even further, they even carried limited editions of Gundam models. I have never had a more nerdgasmic morning. The prices here are a little more expensive than what I can find online, but not by much. I will definitely come back when I am simply looking for a new model to build or a place to browse around if I’m in the area.

Magic Box Hobbies unfortunately for my boyfriend doesn’t sell magic cards. However it does sell the following: –model building equipment and paints –gundams –model ships –model planes –model cars –model tanks –scale doll house pieces such as beds and chairs –rc helicopters –puzzles –train sets –war hammer 40k sets –etc etc The big turn off of the store is some of the prices. It’s like a hole is being ripped into my wallet just by gazing at the prices.

Great guys at the store. A bunch of people who really love what they do. Went in knowing nothing about models, and wanted to build a model airplane. They helped me pick out a good model, some tools, and even opened the box to find the paints needed. They were very helpful, and didn’t push any sales on me. Even got a 10% off card for next time! Amazing!

Bought a rc helicopter and didn’t know all I was in for I wish he could have been more informative. I figured it out thanks to the Internet and was able to adjust a neutral trim and repair a swash plate that became disconnected. The CX3 I bought flies great and am happy with my purchase. Happy flying :)
