Melisa specializes in Manual Osteopathy. Treatments are gentle and appropriate for all ages from newborns to elderly and pregnant women. She has a special interest in the Osteopathic treatment of children and babies.

Melisa treats a variety of complaints including — back pain, sciatica, repetitive strain injuries, headaches and migraines, TMJ dysfunction, vertigo and dizziness, respiratory and digestive complaints, fertility issues, autoimmune disorders, fibromyalgia, Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease, and post concussion syndrome.

She uses several Osteopathic techniques including cranial and biodynamic osteopathy, visceral osteopathy, balanced ligamentous tension, functional release, strain counter strain, trigger point release, general osteopathic joint mobilizations, and muscle energy techniques.

Business Owner

Melisa is an Osteopathic Practitioner having graduated from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine in London, England. She is very passionate about treating children and believes prevention is the best medicine. And is currently furthering her studies in a post graduate paediatrics program in Switzerland.

Melisa believes that Osteopathy is a philosophy of health and not technical procedures which are applied to a diagnosis. And often quotes Still, the founding father of Osteopathy that «the smallest unit of function we treat is the whole.»

She feels that healing is the emergence of Originality. This Originality is an expression of complete balance of structure and function as intended in the embryo’s formation.

She uses her hands diagnostically, perceptually and therapeutically, and does not listen for symptoms but rather is in constant dialogue with an pre-​existing priority set in motion by the patient’s health enabling her to palpate a nonverbal history on them.
