Nice place overall. Small, not too much merchandise but good quality gear. Helpful &friendly staff. Not good for parking Gasstown, what’s to expect?

Staff was patient, friendly, and helpful. I hadn’t skated in years but got an awesome setup here for traversing Van. Thankfully the guy didn’t mind my long list of questions before buying! They have a selection of shoes and other skating merch, so it’s seems like a good place to go even if you’re not looking to pick up a board. The place is pretty small and was busy both times I was there.

The only reason I’m giving this shop a one star rating, is because I can’t actually give zero stars. Absolutely the worst customer service. Rude, arrogant, unhelpful, and incredibly judgmental to the neighborhood the owner chose to be in. He has a callous disregard for the humanity that exists in the neighborhood he chose to put his shop in. He complains openly to all customers about this. I will not step foot in this store ever again.

A nice skate shop right in the heart of Gastown. Staff is patient, friendly, and very helpful. I got my first skate setup here. It’s great! Still riding it.(A few months of use on it so far) I have always come in to check out their shoes(which always seem to be on sale or have great prices) but I never find any pairs I like enough to buy… I actually was happy to find they have a huge selection of Herschel bags as I wanted to get my Mom one for her bday. So I came in here and found the perfect one to get her. Staff 5⁄5 Atmos 4⁄5(a little small, cramped like) Price 5⁄5(not overpriced, and have good deals often) Come take a peak inside Menu skate shop.

A very unique find in gastown among all the boutiques and pubs. The staff here are really chill and awesome. i still have my skateboard. I don’t really skate in public with it in parks anymore, however, will skate around my community center just for kicks are randomly at night in the empty parking lot of my garage in summer. They have a decent selection of wheels in different colors, prices are competitive. Did I mention how chill the staff are. They have some hoodies from some known skater brands.

If they keep on making these types of keys, this will be my regular skateboard shop lol. And having this in red helps too. For just $ 5?! Located amongst all the souvenir shops and clubs in Gastown, it’s easy to miss. They seem to carry the Diamond label quite a lot, from LA. Friendly service from Sid. Their down jackets, located left, are on sale, 50% off. Shoes on the right, starting at 40% off. So I’ve actually been here, to know this, just saying ;)

Update– pretty sure they saw the last review that my girlfriend wrote and maybe I felt a little guilty that it was so bad. They definitely did all that they could to rectify the situation and I paid with my MasterCard this time. This is for sure my neighbourhood skate shop of choice now. The other guy who works there helped me out with finding savant, a little hidden gem near pigeon park, while I was out shopping for clothes and then when we needed new set ups I went in and got 2 full set ups, decks, trucks, wheels, etc, and a pair of lunar sbs from Sid, he asked if I was the guy with the credit cards from before, and apologized which I was extremely grateful for. Plus his wife wasn’t there. He hooked me up with a couple shop items, T-shirt, etc, and I’m pretty sure I didn’t have to pay for my grip tape. All in all they have a pretty good selection of skate gear and shoes. Sid was sponsored by rds so that is on of the main brands they carry as well as have menu/rds items. I found the lighting to be a little strange and visually the space would be difficult to work with but they have done a pretty good job and I’m super happy that things were worked out there, cause otherwise I would have had to go to buy my setups at anti-social and that’s going to have to be another review anyways.

If you pop into Menu Skateboard Shop you will usually find the owner Sid Clark sitting behind the counter. We found out that Sid is a B.C. local and is also a former professional skateboarder. I figure who better to kit you out than someone that obviously has a deep rooted passion for what he does. As for stock, Menu carries decks and accessories, clothes for youths, men, and women, skate shoes, bags, hats, watches, wallets, sunglasses and much more. I loved the unique deck selection some of which I am not sure are ride able, but are definitely conversation pieces.
