we were exploring vancouver, bc, as we haven’t visited before, and came across milestones’ grill for lunch… i had the molson’s canadian lager, and my partner had a moscow mule… next, we split the california spring mix salad and the seared shi tuna tacos… the food was amazing, and the staff so friendly… the view of the shore was gorgeous… thx!

Boyfriend and I first came to this location to celebrate my birthday, what an amazing experience. From the host at the front to the server that served us. I decided to see if we could book the patio for Pride this year because I had some friends coming from Calgary to visit. Thank you so much to Kristy for the outstanding customer. She knows how to treat customer’s who come to Milestone. The food was great, the service awesome. I have highly recommended this restaurant to many of my guests who come to Vancouver. A big thank you to Kristy and her team…

Service from our waiter was amazing. Food was okay and we had a mostly good experience. Up until my wife heard the waitresses blatantly discussing how they couldn’t believe how some parents would bring«a baby like theirs» to a restaurant like theirs. As I look at the waitresses I’m surprised most are legal to serve waitresses, so I understand it, but considering how low key our kids are and that our 1 years shrieked for joy a few times, it certainly didn’t please my wife. It’s a shame because our waiter was awesome and patient with our requests. However, perhaps when milestones hires some more mature staff, customers won’t be made to feel like garbage for a day out with their family.

I imagine a majority of Unilocalers’ first reviews are based on negative experiences. I am, gladly, here to report the opposite: despite my expectations of being disappointed, the Milestone’s English Bay hostess and server provided excellent service, surprisingly surpassing our expectations. My partner and I had arrived with cautious hesitation based on our own«bad». On a previous visit to this location for drinks and a light lunch, we had been provided with 3 scratch cards in celebration of Milestone’s anniversary. One of our cards was lucky enough to reveal a free dinner for two, up to $ 100! However, upon further reading of the fine print, we found that we had broken the«rules» — that the card had been excitedly scratched at home, when the prize required to be revealed in front of a server at the time of being seated. Knowing of the potential controversy and upholding of company policies that could ensue, we had come prepared, with $ 100 in hand, to go elsewhere to dine if the voucher was refused. Our hostess briefly checked with a manager, and confirmed the card would be honoured. Pleasantly surprised, we were seated inside immediately. Our server was professional and polite while casual and relaxed, providing a perfect blend of attentiveness and privacy. There was a loud and obnoxious server slash failed performance artist in our section as well — thankfully, not assigned to our table. Despite at times barely being able to hear our own conversation over the over-friendly-phoney antics of the competitive server, the atmosphere was otherwise a pleasant sunset. We began with a Milestone’s classic — the spinach artichoke dip with tortilla chips: rich, creamy, salty, delicious. Couple with the Sicilian Mussels, we were off to a good start. A new twist on things was our first beverage — the Bourbon Berry Sour. fresh, delicious, and bursting with flavour, garnished with a skewer of beautiful plump raspberries. I had the Tomato Sugo Halibut — with smokey tomato sauce and complimented by a spicy and well balanced tangy Serrano chilli cream. My partner thoroughly enjoyed the Braised Beef Short Ribs, juicy, rich, tender. The meal was a great success, leaving us too full to order dessert! We had not used the full amount of the voucher, but were more then satisfied with our food and service. The view and sunset sealed the deal — we will be back!

We went here on our first night in town and were very satisfied. The restaurant has a view of the ocean so of course it was packed and we had to wait a little bit but not too bad for a Saturday night! I ordered the red sangria and it was perfect. The merlot was good as well and the boys got beer. I had the Mediterranean chicken with a side house salad and I honestly would go back and get the same thing! The boys had the Thai noodle dish which was spicy but delicious. The portion sizes were large and the service was great.

Good touristy restaurant located right at the beach in Vancouver. We picked it because they have a good kid’s menu. Service from Avery was fast and efficient including several bar items, a selection of happy hour appetizers and some good pasta penne, Thai style noodles and chicken tenders for the kids. I peeked at some other tables and they were serving some awesome looking bruschetta and a mussel dish with all the trimmings. The Thai dish I had was well prepared with just the right amount of spice, basil and coconut milk to complement the shrimp and chicken pieces. It was a decent portion too. Good restaurant, good with kids, great location.

The only good part about this restaurant was the view. Food is expensive and service is terrible. Waited 10 minutes for the server to greet us, waited another 10 minutes for her to get our drinks and come take our order. Food came quick(not delivered by our server) we waited another 10 minutes before we could ask her for cutlery and condiments, then she said sure then proceeded to greet another table and talk to them and get there drink order. She finally brought us two rolls of cutlery. For three people. We Waited another 5 minutes and still no condiments. We just decided to eat our food. I decided to try the veggie burger which was pretty bland and boring, especially for $ 15. We waited another 10 minutes without seeing our server, then asked another server to grab us a box for our left overs, she said she would tell our server. Again. No one showed up for another 5 minutes. When our server finally ended up coming she then asked if we could needed a box. Then proceeded to talk and greet a new table then take another drink order from the table behind us and ask how everything was since they were buying alcoholic drinks. After waiting another 5 minutes for the box and bill, then another 10 minutes for her to get the machine after she proceeded to talk to 2 other tables. We left no tip and will not be returning. Clearly they don’t care about you unless you’re buying a lot alcoholic drinks.

This was an interesting experience. I normally love Milestones as a chain so maybe this was just an off day? Who knows. Sat on the patio for two in order to enjoy the day and avoid the Cactus Club patio line. It was happy hour so ordered a glass of white, and my dining companion ordered a pint of whitecaps lager. The server came back twice to clarify the order, which was almost cute, except that he got it wrong both times. Then a second server came back with two pints. Sure? I sent it back and server one came back with a «Oh that’s weird I don’t know how the bar messed that up…» Hmm. We ordered their 3 bites deal — «asian chicken», tempura prawns and red skinned fries with truffle aioli. When they say bites, they really mean bites. We had 4 tiny pieces of chicken on top of a bed of fried vermicelli, 4 prawns on a bed of fried vermicelli, and then our fries, sans truffle aioli. We ate most of everything before I managed to track our server down and request the aioli. Although quantity of food was definitely incredibly low, it tasted damn good so I’ll give them that. All in all the experience was pretty average. Nothing overly terrible, and nothing fabulous. I got a sunburn so mild summer success?

Great drinks and very delicious food. The size does not always match the price but the food is high end and super good!

I ate here right before I headed back to Seattle and I must say, this place had delicious food and yummy drinks! When coming here, I suggest you come during a time when it isn’t too packed. Since it is located right on the water near Stanley Park it gets a little difficult finding a close-by parking. I ordered the Mimosa and Portobello Mushroom Chicken with Mashed Potatoes instead of Vermicelli Noodles. To describe this dish in short, the chicken and mushroom together was super savory – chicken was soft and it went perfect with the mashed potatoes; it was the best combination of food I have tasted! If you’re in this area of Canada I recommend checking this place out!

Bellinis = fabulous Spinach & artichoke dip = fabulous but overpriced like all of their entrees. Calamari = not good. Overcooked and rubbery, way overpriced. Ahi tuna tacos = taste good but you only get 2 tiny tacos for $ 16, way overpriced California spring salad = wonderful but you only need to order starter size for $ 9. I usually add prawns which are another $ 7. So that’s $ 16 for a salad which again is not a great price. Tried the«sliders» tonight. They were the grossest things I’ve ever tasted in my life. I took one bite and had to spit it out into a napkin. Turns out they were«meatloaf» sliders. They were nice enough to remove it from our bill without a fuss and without us even asking them to. So overall, there are a few things on the menu that are really good, but mostly it’s really overpriced and not worth the money. Waiters are always pleasant and friendly though, and the view of course is awesome.

Had the hot wings with Yam fries. The wings were delicious. The padio view was amazing as well. We enjoyed the sun going down on the beach leaving a reddish, purplish color on the water and clouds.

I like the beers over there, top reason I go with friends as we all live close by. Foods. so so. But I am ok with it, not a meal was memorable. They had some good items before though. Quite often when beers came, too much foam, seems not enough value. Some days were good, but half of time I felt just not right… maybe bartender too busy too rush. when the foam settle down like someone have drank some already. So I made a comment to the restaurant with a photo and the manager responded«The standard is that there should be about 2 fingers worth of head on the glass and the size of the glass permits for this so you are not getting any less beer than you are paying for.» 2 fingers ?! Man or woman fingers? I bet the bartender or manager must have two fat fingers. Why I made comment, because seems they not match the standard of same class of restaurant. Hope they will improve and we will visit there again. After her response, now I know I was just lucky to get higher standard by accident from this location. She also responded ” I would love to invite you back as my guest so we can pour you a beer as it should be served.“ I am sure there are much higher standard out there than her«standard». I wasn’t even talked about their food. So, no thank you. But I definite will ask other restaurants have they heard 2 fingers standard that I got it from her(manager) at Denman St location. Good luck to all.

Came here to recover from a late night-on-the-town post-New Year’s celebration. This place was perfect! Chill vibes, our waitress was super nice, the service was excellent and fast, and the location was amazing(right on the water)! I had the most delicious smoked salmon eggs benedict with a fruit salad, oh my gosh it was perfection. I’ll definitely be coming here again for a nice breakfast next time I’m in Vancouver!

Amazing food and service. To start things off, we had spinach and artichoke dip(came with a bit of salsa and sour cream, also) and that was fabulous. Had the Old Fashioned Burger with Fries and the patty was great and the fries were amazing; perfect portion for a meal. Our server(don’t recall his name) was incredible. Gave us things we didn’t even ask for, he just remembered off the top of his head. *the strawberry lemonade is good*

Was relatively quick to be seated just after 9pm, less than 5 mins on a nice day. Was a little confusing as no one was at the hostess area as we arrived and lingered a minute. Our server was quick to come take drink order and we each ordered a glass of red wine with the goat cheese garlic app. Appetizer/sharing item came out in about 10 mins, and manager came by with the wine and to take our dinner order. Efficient, albeit, we were surprised he took the order rather than our server… My better half had the 14oz prime rib(for sharing) and I ordered the grilled seafood salad. Really great starter, goat cheese with the right flavors to accommodate. Prime rib a bit fatty, tasted ok(a bit onion soupy for me) and my choice salad was ok. Had to request a steak knife — which we both shared(so I could cut the salmon and mix my salad). The salmon overdone and the salad had mystery chow mein noodles in the bottom. I hated the chow mein noodles… He thought it was ok. For a $ 20 salad, it was meh. Fresh avocado helped… the shrimp were good, but strangely had 1 shrimp cut up on side. Maybe it was supposed to be a scallop? Walked away feeling let-down and a strangely put together salad… Also appetizer plates would have gone a long way. As a tourist I’m sure I will go elsewhere! The wine was very enjoyable with the goat-cheese and the view! Service was just ok.

I think the last time I was at this Milestones it must have been like 10 years ago! If not it sure feels that way. Anyways, I was riding around dt with my cycling boys and we discovered it was lunch time. I guess you can’t go wrong with a Milestones on a Monday afternoon. Consistency is the catch word for franchises like Milestones. I had the breakfast burrito and a coffee. Very good! Fresh hot and served quickly. Guess being Monday afternoon it not going to be as busy as a weekend brunch. 2 of the guys I ride with work in a major hotel kitchen. 1 of the guys is the chef… We all agreed pretty good meal! Glad I got some backing for my culinary criticism! Haha!
