Milktea Way Bubble Tea

Way too sweet for my taste, but they make an OK Bubble Tea. On a hot day, I’d suggest you try the fruit slush with coconut, instead of milk tea with pearls («bubbles»). Nice staff.

I am an absolute fan of bubble tea. I have tried several places in both Richmond and Vancouver, and I can say without a doubt that MilkTea Way (previously called Bubble Mania) is by far the best one around.
The prices are very reasonable and their selection of food and drinks is quite large. My favourite bubble teas at MilkTea Way are the strawberry slushy (made with real fruit) and the coconut slushy.
Also, their thick toast is delicious! I’d suggest to try their custard thick toast.
MilkTea Way also offers a stamp card, so make sure to ask for one as you get a free drink once you have filled up the card.

Oct 27, 2009: GREAT WEATHER TODAY, VANCOUVER! A perfect day for me to walk down Robson and since I was on Robson, I gotta stop by this little shop again! Last time I had pudding milk tea and loved it (u prolly won’t like it if u don’t like asian styled pudding) !! Man. recalling the size of the puddings they have makes me grin p (^+++^)q and happy~
This time I thought i should try some of their slush selections. Usually when i don’t know which one to pick, I’d play safe and choose the ones that won’t go wrong (such as grape or strawberry ones)… I think the guy who was working there at that time saw me standing there staring at the menu for a long time (I was trying to decide whether I should choose mango, grape or strawberry. cuz they were my favorites), he offered his help and suggested me Plum Slush if I’m not afraid of sour taste. I wasn’t sure about that since I’ve never had «PLUM» slush before. and there are 2 different kinds of plum flavor juice I’ve had from asian restaurants, with one being my favorite and the other one I hate so much!
Annnnnnnnnyways, I was gonna play safe and order Grape Slush. but then I remember their slogan, «something different», I told myself that I should be «different» and get out of my comfort zone and just give Plum Slush a try. so I did it. Plum Slush with baby pearls~

If I lived in a comic world, you would see angels blowing horns above me and my eyes sparkling with bunch of stars!!! Seriously man, that’s exactly how i felt when i had the first sip! I was so happy that guy suggested this to me. I walked out the store with a big smile on my face. With the Plum Slush in my hand, I stopped by the 7 – 11 nearby. When I walked in there, the 45 – 55 year old staff at the counter saw me and said my face was glowing! He then saw my drink and asked me wut it was and where I got it from. That’s how a good drink could make a person real bliss and happy. Too bad I was alone, cuz I was so excited I wished I had my friend with me to share my excitement and happiness!

I passed by this spot yesterday on my way to Sushi Mart (
) yesterday. It is in the Robson Market (well, kind of on the outside portion near Babylon).
It is a VERY small spot with odd metal décor and a bunch of cups stacked in the window. Not appealing at all.
I tried to go in to check out their offerings a bit more, but the door was locked. I saw two people inside and they absolutely ignored me. They didn’t try to open the door. They didn’t try to say when they would be open. They didn’t do anything. So I continued to peer inside, looking at the menu. Typical bubble tea menu. Nothing special.
So typical menu, small odd looking space, crappy customer service.
I definitely won’t be needing to return.
They had a handwritten sign that they were selling spam oden — $ 1.75 for 5 pieces. Apparently they have a special combo, which I know doesn’t appeal to me either — green milk tea with a generous side of spam. Yuck! I hate spam — particularly with bubble tea! Yuck!

What a great place! I had one of the best tea drinks ever! And so different from everywhere else. I had the mango blk tea and I just loved the mini pearls. I have to try their other drinks soon. And the place itself was nice and cute. I definatley recomend Milktea Way all the way!
