History

Established in 2010.

My City Photos was established in 2010 by Laura-​Lee Gerwing.

When Laura-​Lee started this company she realized that there were no photography companies out there that offered Professional, affordable AND customizable photography. Her first year with this company she noticed how many clients all wanted different things, why should she say no??? That is when the customization options were developed. And the affordability aspect of the company, well, Laura-​Lee just doesn’t believe a second mortgage should be required to have photos taken!

Then, in 2013 LL came up with the Birthday Party concept. Hosting kids and adult parties in the boutique style studio or in your home and at community centres all around the city. Amazing modern decorations, games, crafts, Event manager, clean up set up and of course a photographer who documents each party with fun candid photos. Offering tons of themes, games and crafts these parties let you parents… sit back and relax!

I truly believe that having photos for everything like family, newborns, events etc. helps us 5 or 50 years down the road remember these times in our lives and helps us re-​live them. I have the worst memory… and when I see a photo from years past… Im right back in that time with a smile on my face!

Loooong story short, my goal for this company is simple… to continue growing in this amazing Vancouver community that I so proudly call home. I dream of multiple locations, kids birthday parties all weekend long, photo shoot experiences getting bigger and better, our photos on my neighbours walls and a place where YOU can go and know you will get the BEST customer service and the most enjoyable, lasting experiences!

So far I have built this company from absolutely nothing and now Im so proud to have 7 staff members and Im stoked to offer YOU things that no one else does!
