Very rude unfriendly waitress. Overpriced coffee. Not impressed. The owner really should train their employees not to offend customers if they want repeating business

NEVERGOTOTHISCAFE. Never have I ever been treated so rudely at a café by its owner. My friend and I entered the café and she had an outside drink with her and I had a laptop to charge. We bought food and drinks at My Cup, yet the owner decided to insult us to his coworkers saying«Look at them bringing in outside food and using our electricity.» Instead of politely letting us know that we could not have outside drinks with us, he then came over to our table and yelled at us in Mandarin. When I told him that I could not understand, he began to yell at us in English while the entire café stared at us. I understand that we cannot bring in outside food but yelling at a customer for using your outlet seems a bit screwed up. Don’t go here. There are plenty of great cafes in Kerrisdale and this is NOT one of them.

I have been here a few times when I worked in the area. It is almost a chain coffee shop that makes a decent London Fog and latte at a reasonable price. Customer service is hit and miss, however, good for the most part. LOTS of room to do crafts and work on my zine, therefore, used to come here after to chill and work on projects. Great accessible hours of operation.

Nice and comfortable place with free wifi and lots of tables. The music in the background is fairly quiet. The drinks here are awesome. Personally I enjoy all the blended cold beverages. For hot drinks, the white chocolate mocha is fairly nice. Prefer this place way more than Café Artigiano.

I went to My Cup for a White Chocolate Mocha… my new addiction. I live close by, so I thought I would try it out. At first glance it’s very cute. Lots of windows and natural light. On closer inspection, the chairs are all worn and frayed. The décor is black, which made the tables, which were also old, look dirty. Some of them were actually dirty as no one was removing used cups from the tables and wiping them down. I ordered a White Mocha and my husband ordered a matcha latte. My white mocha was creamy and delicious, although it took a while for me to get it. For a place that only had two customers sitting the service was very very slow. Somehow, the guy behind us was served before we were… not sure how that happened. The baristas were very young high school aged girls. They were very friendly, but not very speedy in making the drinks. I would give this place two and a half stars because the drinks were good, but the service and unclean tables and décor has me tanking it at two.

Nasty coffee. Wasted $ 5 for an Americano misto that tasted like hot water. Not going back here. I’d rather walk a few more blocks to the Caffe Artigiano that makes 100% better Americanos for half the price!

There are plenty of comfortable seats, it is light and bright and the service is friendly. It has a convenient location, it is a nice place to meet up with friends, but at the end of the day, the coffee and the food are nothing to write home about. We had some scones that were warmed up but still tasted stale. The Americano and the Latte we ordered were not bad, but not awesome either. I believe it was a case of espresso made decently but using not great beans. This place will work in a pinch but I will not seek it out. 2.5 stars

I’m always on the hunt for the elusive great coffee shop. I’ve recently fallen in love with 41st street. The shops and restaurants are fantastic! Not too busy and not too small population-wise. But My Cup can’t take credit for that of course. They can take credit in finding a great area of the city to set up shop in. The inside is comfortable enough. Would love some more armchairs but they definitely are doing great for the space they have. As soon as I walked in, I went from a cold, wet vancouver to a perfect temperature, warm café. I don’t know what it is with some coffee shops. But they tend to be cold. My Cup is perfect t-shirt weather. So the atmosphere is great! The staff are also perfect. Instead of just smiling and getting you your food and drink, they seem passionate to doing a great job and going above and beyond the call of duty. They have a sense of humor and treat you like a friend. I had a macaroon and a spiced dark chocolate. I was advised to sip it slowly. Good advice. It is spicy. And worth the price tag(about $ 4.50 for a small). I know, I know. But the small lasts a while. The music is not so loud that it drowns out my thinking like other coffee shops do. It’s a light blend of jazz, sometimes tribal and once in a while, will play a song that sounds like bad instrumental music from a 70’s Bruce Lee movie. Not often though. This is a great coffee shop with the right staff and finally some bold, unique drinks on their menu.

Their coffee’s good, and the ambiance is very nice. Free wifi is good. Their food isn’t anything special though – many indy coffee joints around Vancouver seem to have the same collection of wraps and breakfast sandwiches. I always find them too potato-y.

I love the coffee here — MyCup is my go-to place in this neighbourhood which has many java options(two Starbucks’; Legato; Bean Brothers; Artigiano). The staff are friendly and it’s always(so far!) been less hectic than Bean Bros. If you’re in the K-Dale, stop in!

Yum, best CUPCAKES and fantastic coffee, yes, even better than the company that rhymes with ‘Firetrucks’

A quiet place for a meeting in this busy part of town. Cool music and free WiFi.
