Suggestion — if you can wait, I would suggest getting some food off the island. The food there from all the vendors were just mediocre and OK — nothing worth trying in the food court area. Ordered Chicken Donair: 3⁄5 Fries: 3⁄5

I’m rating this one the calamari alone because how could I order anything else with calamari this good? It is perfectly battered and seasoned, it tastes fresh and it has lots of the tentacley parts(aka the best part). Dip it in their thick, zesty tzatziki and you have my go to snack for a trip to Granville island.

Good food but a little too expensive for the size of the portions.

A small booth in the food court of the Granville Island Market serving dishes of the pita, donair, and burger variety — prices feel a little steep for a food court, but the dishes are well-portioned and decent. My two cousins and I shared: — Cheeseburger with fries — $ 8.50. A hearty burger — meaty and satisfying! — Chicken Platter: 2 chicken skewers, a fresh greek salad, a peeled potato and rice — $ 9.50

* Everything is relative * Ok, 4 «relative» stars. Comparison group — other eateries in the Granville Island Market. This would likely be a 3 star in a neighbourhood with decent donairs. But when on the island, choice is more limited… When I have to grab a very quick lunch on Granville Island it is normally either this spot’s lamb donair pita or soup at the Stock Market( ). After you order they grill the lamb and the pita so both are nice and hot. They put some veggies of your choosing on the pita along with a very creamy version of tzatziki. The lamb is actually well marinated and tender with a nice taste from the grill. Authentic: No. Overpriced: Yes.(But everything at the market is) Tasty: Yes. Quick: Yes. Perfect for those times I need to eat quickly at the market(like today before a meeting). And a hell of a lot better than«Gourmet» wok:
