I am a seamstress with 10 years’ experience sewing for beautiful, curvy women like myself. I opened a dressmaking and alterations business last year because I want to help women who struggle to find clothing that fits both their style and their body. In this blog,

In the past I have made some custom corsets, dresses, prom dresses, bridesmaids dresses and wedding dresses. The thing I love most is creating a beautiful outfit to help transform someone from everyday student to femme fatal, warrior or fairy tale princess. It kind of makes me feel just like Cinderella’s fairy godmother did by giving her the gown.

I was raised in the wilds of East Vancouver. By two open minded feminists, yes my dad was also a feminist. While growing up I loved fairy and vampire stories and films. I started sewing in college in an effort to find clothes that fit my style not just my size. After a while I realized that I loved sewing and wanted to learn more so I went on to Capilano’s Costuming for Theater and Film program. Last year I realized I wanted to try and make a living doing what I love so I opened my business.
