I deducted an entire star solely because of the nurse practitioner Amber, who has a lot to learn about people. She was condescending, patronizing, and prejudiced toward me –not about race– I left seething, most of us with complex health care needs have to tolerate being treated as if we’re somehow also stupid, but she was extreme.
My Dr. is good, I had to learn a lot about communicating my needs but once I did, things went very well. The front staff are all amazing, they are so busy, but always have a smile, remember names, have time on the phone and seem like they are genuinely glad to see you.
It’s a comprehensive clinic, with a lot of connections to other programs.

Excellent clinic. Youth 25 and under are able to have a nurse practitioner act as a family doctor. There is a massive shortage of family doctors in Vancouver, and waiting at walk in clinics for hours is often unpractical. Therefore, I would highly recommend youth and young adults check out this clinic as an alternative.
Raven Song is unique in that it is an integrated clinic; various health care practitioners, such as a registered dietitian, clinical psychologist, and others work at the clinic. This is excellent, as it allows for efficient and practical information sharing between the practitioners when needed, which drastically improves the care patients receive.
At Ravensong, I highly recommend Kelvin Bei, a nurse practitioner. Nurse practitioners are able to do about 80% of regular GP duties, including write prescriptions and make referrals to specialists.
Kelvin has been by far the most thorough, respectful, and friendly medical professional I have ever met. He clarifies things he is uncertain about on the spot, and does not hesitate to ask his colleagues at the clinic. He follows up with specialist referrals if they are taking longer than expected and calls me when he has pertinent information about my health care needs. Kelvin is great with encouraging me to make follow up appointments so my health can be monitored and managed. He will address as many questions as he can within the allotted time. Most importantly, I do not get the impression that I am wasting his time, or that he is rushing me out the door to see the next patient.
I’m not sure what I’m going to do after I turn 25, as this place is so fantastic. Also very transit accessible.

I change my review today as I went there because I have lower than normal hemoglobin levels which isn’t a problem except for giving blood and I’ve been feeling extremely exhausted compared to how I usually feel. Which to me is something that is affecting the way that I live my life and when I went to the doctor, I saw a different doctor than usual and she was terrible. I was second in line for walk in time, I arrived 1 hour early to get in quicker. They left me waiting for 1 hour to see the doctor and I was second in line. There was literally only one other person and they kept me waiting and saw the person behind me in line before they saw me.
One of the nurses came in and asked if I’d seen the doctor yet 20 minutes after they’ve left me in the doctors office to which point she left the door open and I could hear the physician and another nurse talking not nice things about me because I don’t know the things that physicians and nurses know. I’m obviously going to the doctors office for a professional opinion not to be criticized like I’m an idiot.
The doctor was rude and after making me wait an hour to see her she said that my hemoglobin was fine and that she thought that I was physically healthy, but if I’m feeling more tired than usual she’ll prescribe me iron, so i said ok. She didn’t even take the time to actually ask me any questions or assess me or anything. She just said I was fine but she’ll prescribe me iron if I think it’ll help. The whole process of seeing her took less than 5 minutes and when she said she was going to be right back to print the prescription, 10 minutes later I got impatient and walked out the door and she was standing there with 2 other women talking.
When she saw me she got the prescription paper and handed it to me as I was leaving.
I am not a physician, I can’t tell whats wrong with me only that there is something. I think as a physician they should take more time to assess the situation because people are going in there for their expertise not be treated like a fucking idiot because they don’t know all the things that physicians know.
I usually see Dr. Dann and she is by far superior to this other un-​pleasant, terribly mannered woman. I recommend seeing Dr. Dann if your planning on going to Raven Song.
Other than that the staff are extremely friendly and the establishment is kept pretty clean.

Very pleased with the service today. We have been coming here for years and today by chance we needed the walk in feature to the clinic. Never having come without calling ahead and getting an appointment we were not prepared to hear that the walk in hours we significantly later than my 9:30 appointment. As I write this I realise that this isn’t a promise that this could be handled this way for you but more generally to say’ there is a helpful spirit’. Anyway I explained having dragged my teen, on a sleep in day, to see a doctor for possible tonsillitis and apologized for my part in assuming the drop in was up and running. They were most accommodating in squeezing him in during my appointment time. Amazingly helpful.
