With toppings ranging from brie cheese to avocados, it has a great selection of flavours. Highly recommend!

Much hype about nothing. I have had better burgers from many of the regular joints I hit up. The burger was unremarkable… Bland no punch or wow. Fries were decent enough

When I’m eating a hamburger the number one consideration is the quality of the meat and how it’s prepared. Number two is the quality of the bun. Number three is what you wind up putting on the burger. This is a casual almost fast food type of place so I’m not expecting much in the way of service other than getting my order right and delivering the food hot. Relish serves better quality meat and bun than many of the so-called«great» burger joints. The buns are seeded with the just the right of flavor and softness. They are exceptional. Toppings are a matter of personal preference but the real test of a good burger is how good it tastes plain. You can really taste the quality of the beef they use at Relish. The price for burgers range from 7 to 10 bucks which is comparable to what you pay at Five Guys, Fatburger and Vera’s. In my opinion Relish serves a much better burger than their competition. The fries taste like they are fried in quality oil but otherwise they are nothing special. Relish is well worth a visit.

Great Burger. It is not quite cheap but is more gourmet than other places. We ordered the Texas burger and it was quite big! We also order the side of fries and they really delicious.

Never noticed this place in my neighbourhood! But it’s only been open a short time and my girlfriend and I wanted to check it out! She’s a vegan and I am not… so I called before hand to make sure they had vegan friendly options. The girl I talked to on the phone didn’t really have a for sure answer about vegan options. She assured me there was a vegetarian option(but those aren’t the same in the slightest). I could however hear in the background someone say«yea we have a vegan option». So we get there and it’s empty(hour before closing) and we see the sign«Start your experience here!» We go up to the register and waiting there is the girl I’m pretty sure I talked to on the phone earlier. This was our first time and were asking about certain items and getting little to no response. The cook actually did come over and inform us any burger can be made vegan because you pick the burger and then choose your patty and was really nice about it. We sat down and soon after we got our food. My Burger was a beef burger and it was awesome! The fries were delicious and very well seasoned. The bun was good and not soggy and there was the right amount of sauce on the burger so it wasn’t really messy! The vegan burger was a different story. I know this burger is not up to standard, because I just ate a burger that was amazing so I know the chef was really good at what he does. My girlfriend just found the veggie patty to be bland. I know it’s difficult to gauge how much seasoning is needed especially with a veggie patty but we just felt like more could be done to make it more exciting. Our feedback is: Put the same level of creativity and excitement you do with your meat options into the veggie one! Have fun with it and try new things and taste it for yourself! Vegans like food too! Show ‘em a little love! I am definitely coming back, I just felt like this could be said to up your game a bit. Ask customers if they have ordered here before and walk them through the options real quick! Also kudos on keeping the dining area super clean and tidy and kudos to the chef for his great customer service skills and for cooking a great burger! Hope this feedback helps!

Went to reLISH a couple days ago with a buddy who had the«buy one burger combo, get the second one free» coupon. The burger was fantastic, definitely beats every fast food joint out of the water, pretty sure it would beat any casual upscale dining burger too. Who cares about the fries? their fries. The price was not so fantastic, if my friend did not bring the coupon, everything would’ve totaled 30+ dollars easily. If your trying to be a burger joint with some ridiculous prices, something has to be more special than some«unique ingredients». The size is average for a burger, its bigger than fast food joints. Think about what 30 dollars can get you nowadays for food… now think about two burgers with fries and drink.

I have been to this joint a couple of times, the first time was when it had just opened and I have to say I was really quite impressed with the burger. I have been there twice since and let’s just say consistency is not there strong point. I bought the LA Lady burger with a beef patty and although my first burger patty was well seasoned this one really didn’t taste of anything at all, perhaps they had forgotten the seasoning in the meat?! Also the avocado slices on my burger were brown, there are some things that are excusable but that is definitely not one of them, they would have clearly seen that they were brown as they put together my burger. I also think the burgers are too thin for the buns. I do like the variety of sauces and options, I liked what came on the LA Lady but I do feel that the burgers come with two different sauces and their house made relish and it’s too much and overwhelms the burger ESPECIALLY when there is little to no seasoning. The place itself is pretty cool inside and the staff have always been very friendly, the manager was incredibly nice the first time we came in. I may get a burger from here again but I won’t expect it to be «gourmet».

I live in a building nearby this restaurant and tried for the first time, I literally just walked out of there with half an order. I asked to order a kids cheeseburger meal(burger, fries and drink) and offered to pay more as I am not under 10.(I wanted a smaller portion). While I waited I spoke to an employee regrading the response from the neighbourhood(we both mentioned mediocre reviews on Unilocal) he said everyone loves the product but not willing to pay the price, which he said was going to change. My name was called and I jokingly said«what no juice box» he said«do you want one» I laughed and said no thanks. I walked out, opened the box and no fries… so $ 8.00 for a child’s size burger no fries and no drink. Verdict: burger is very salty and too big for the small bun.

I was lucky enough to be one of the few elite( Unilocalers) that got to sample a variety of the eats at this place and I’m so glad I did. Lets start with the good: The burgers. Obvs. They have some interesting combos but hands down the Texan won my heart — it’s the BBQ sauce. I thought their veggie burger was surprisingly good, as someone who’s heart belongs to cows. The onion rings were delicious, but more importantly, the staff was tremendous. The incredibly enthusiastic owner and all the cooks and servers were honestly delights to chat to. I don’t know if that’s because we were Unilocalers at a private event, but I’d like to assume that they’re just like that with everyone. The not so good: I wasn’t blown away by the poutine or chip, nor the dipping sauce they came with. Yam fries really go well with a garlic aoli, so let’s not try and reinvent the wheel here. The fries were not crispy, but a little more on the soft side. Some people like fries like that — not me. But given that’s an accompaniment, I’m happy to let it pass. Overall a great burger joint that I’ll be adding to my list of top burgers in Vancouver.

What a disappointment! I was SO looking forward to trying this place out. It seemed really cool and I loved the idea of having a good burger joint in the area. I walked in once just to take a look and the second time some weeks later to have lunch there with a friend. In both cases the staff could not have been friendlier or more welcoming. 5 stars for the staff, for sure. Food came up fast — no complaints there. Taste? Boring as hell. I had the«L.A. is my Lady» on a vegetarian patty and my friend had the«Cabo Diablo» on a turkey patty. The names are cool and the descriptions on the menu sound great, but what a disappointment when we bit into these burgers! I so expected a place that is only a burger place would be really good. Wrong. My patty immediately fell apart and started plopping out of my burger, leaving me holding a bun full of condiments and other stuff and my friend’s burger, while it held together was described by him as «boring as hell». Seems to me that each burger was over $ 9 which wouldn’t be bad if it came with something but that’s only the burger. We bought onion rings for $ 4.99 and got about 7 onion rings in total. The beer(lager) was cold and good but I can get that anywhere! So, two really boring and almost tasteless burgers, plus a total of 7 onion rings and two beers was around $ 40.00. I can think of a lot better places where we can spend $ 40 and walk out happy. Plus, the place has zero atmosphere. It’s modern with clean lines but really just feels like a high-end McDonald’s. Nothing special at all about it. This place isn’t going to last. Even if the burgers came with fries, they are just too boring and people in the area are not going to pay that. Once, maybe. Twice? Not likely. Sorry Relish, I thought you’d be great but you’re boring as hell. If the food was like the staff, the place would be a huge success. Do something about your food, add fries to your burger plates(fries cost nothing), and you might survive. :-( PS Update: I’m at Capital on Davie having a delicious veggie burger AND fries for $ 4.95! Okay, I know Capital is unusual but even so, it makes me wonder why Relish won’t include fries for their roughly $ 10 burgers. Maybe it wouldn’t matter if the burgers were good. Sorry guys but I won’t be back at any price unless the burgers become good.

Quite possibly the best burger joint in Vancouver right now! It’s new and clean — hope they keep it that way as it’s the only way they’ll bring me back, friendly staff who took their time to walk us through the menu — definitely a plus being new in my neighborhood, iterated the new liquor license — bring on the Hefeweizen, food brought over to our table because we were too busy gabbing about our hump day… We’ll be back! You’re an awesome bunch and the quality of your food is top notch. Keep it up!

Interesting introduction as I entered the restaurant all three of the staff behind the counter greet with a big warm«welcome» not a touch I would personally prefer but it was neat. The staff were helpful and checked up on us throughout experience. I had the big Texas with poutine. The food was decent menu was alittle simple for my liking also an obvious create your own burger option would be preferential. Maybe add a chicken burger and chicken fries to expand the menu slightly with the same equipment. The beef burger was nothing special it was well prepared but the burger itself wasn’t anything to make me want another. The putine was decent could use alittle more cheese. Not a bad spot but not recommendable. They had beer on menu and no beer yet.

The rumblings of hunger drew us into Relish and the tasty burgers will entice us to return. The burgers all seem to come with an interesting relish which has beets or beet juice in it. I would have given 5 stars but they put mayo on my husbands burger after he had asked for only mustard. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was clean . The Commercial Dr. outlet will be my next visit.

I ordered take out from reLiSH on Sept 2. I got the Simpleton burger and poutine. The food itself was adequate. It wasn’t good enough to justify the price of $ 7.95 for a plain burger and $ 6.95 for poutine however. The counter girl said the poutine was enough for a full meal, which it might be if you’re a tiny young lady and not a big guy. What will keep me from going back is one cook in particular has a long straggly beard and hair. No one in the food cooking/prep area is wearing a hair net or, in his case, a beard net. I don’t know if it’s a rule to do so, but they should have their staff wear them regardless. There’s a Fatburger close by that’s priced better and seems to have better hygiene standards.

I attended the Unilocal Elite event last Tuesday which happened at reLiSH Gourmet Burgers on Davie Street. The event was well-organized with a variety of food and drink selections. We got some draft beers and grabbed a seat. The interior was pretty spacious with a mix of burger joints and bar style decors. Shortly after we seated, one of the staffs brought us 3 different types of burgers on the iron pan serveware. Burgers were prepared in small tasting-menu sizes with 3 different flavours: — The Big Texas with beef patty: Smokey BBQ sauce, crispy onion frites, pepper jack cheese, crispy bacon — The LA is my Lady with veggie patty: Sliced avocado, roasted peppers, basil pesto, creamy goat’s cheese — The special signature burger from the store with turkey patty I had 5 burgers in total but then… I couldn’t differentiate their tastes. First of all, the patty was way too small compared to the size of the bun, and I thought the toppings and the sauces are pretty much the same for every burger. Some burgers were a bit spicier but not too noticeable. LA is my Lady is the only burger I could tell the difference because it was served separately and our waitress briefly explained about the burger. The veggie patty was really huge unlike the meat burgers. It was my first time trying veggie burger and unlike my expectation it tasted really good and fresh. I would love any food with basil pesto and avocado! Complimentary wines — Good local red/white wine selection Relish Gourmet Poutine tasted alright. I hate to say this, but it tasted just average. I’m pretty sure their regular size burgers and poutine would taste better than tasting menus. I want to come back to try their Harvest Jazz which is made with blue cheese, havarti, caramelized onion and walnut pesto! Sounds very appetizing :) My first time attending the Unilocal Elite Event turned out to be amazing dining experience with a bunch of other foodies! Unilocal prepared nice goodie bags for everyone who joined the event. I don’t know whose idea it is but the selfie stick and keychain bottle opener were awesome choices! Thank you so much for the amazing foodie event ! Address: 1708 Davie Street, Vancouver Hours of Operation: Monday to Sunday 11am-11pm Official Website & Menu Info

I came here as part of a Unilocal Elite event and have to say I was impressed. The décor is a typical burger joint type, but the high ceilings makes the place seem much roomier. The manager was very friendly and proceeded to serve us with lots of yummy goodness… sliders and poutine with dried onion and bacon bits. My favourite slider of the night would have to be the vegetarian patty even though I’m a self professed meateterian. Thanks to the lovely Unilocal CM, we all had a merry time filled with laughter, stories and yet another yummy addition to the Vancouver dining scene

I hate the phrase«I really wanted to like this place»… BUT I really wanted to like this place. I’ve been walking by, waiting for the open for weeks if not months. Last evening we walked in and found it was opening day! The space is beautifully appointed, big, spacious and clean with a big open grill to watch the burger specialists create your burger. The welcome was a bit awkward, but warm. One of the girls seemed at ease, the other less so. I chose the basic burger and added cheese. We wanted a taste of what Relish burger was all about minus any of the heavy sauces found on their array of offerings. First thing that raised my eyebrows was a $ 9.15 price tag for a burger and cheese. With tip the thing came to $ 10.15. The chefs seem to be on point and loving what they do. Within about 10 minutes my name was called. The burger looked gorgeous. Pickle affixed to the top and poopy seed bun. First bite… All I can say is underwhelming. It tasted like a burger. A little, cute, yet dry burger lacking anything to make me go wow. I added ketchup and two packets of mustard and pepper and it zinged up a notch. $ 10.15 for a smallish sized burger without anything special or a hint of pizazz makes this first round a 3 star review. I really wanted to like this place. AND my waistline is happy because ReLIsH saved it a lot of calories each time I walk down Davie… g

#145 Sunday, 30 August 201518:00 The scene: massive hunger. The location: reLISH on Davie Street The crime: attempted gourmet burgers The punishment: expectation The good: Great location near many other restaurants with a wide open space. Pretty friendly services(especially for Vancouver and Canada in general). As my tip stated, three types of burger patties(ground turkey, angus beef(presumably from Alberta), and vegetarian). I had the ground turkey while my partner in crime had the angus beef. The ground turkey tasted better though the beef was not bad. The neither good or bad: Onion rings and french fries. I could have done without either. The bad: Gourmet burgers(allegedly) and you’re serving Heinz condiments with High Fructose Corn Syrup(known in Canada as glucose-fructose)? What’s the point of going high quality and gourmet if the required additives are sub-par? Verdict: Guilty. For the price, I expect better(maybe instead of trying to open 3 locations in Vancouver within 6 weeks of each other, spend some of that money on what you are advertising). Five Guys has better quality as does Smashburger and I would hazard to say even Carl’s Jr. While it beats the neighbourhood McDonald’s, that’s not saying much at this price. The likelihood of my return is hinged on me winning the lottery. It got 3 stars when it should have gotten 1.5 to 2 stars but I bumped it for the service since good service in Canada is like a Canadian NHL team winning a Stanley Cup in the last 30 years(ZERO).
