Score! As the beginning of dragon boat season is upon us I HAD to go get a new pair of Keens. I would happily pay full price for Keens because they are sturdy and comfortable, however after 2 years of regular paddling on False Creek — they stink, so much so that people know when I’m walking past them.
Ronson Rack had a few pairs of Keens and the ones I bought were a mere $ 55. Not bad since the last time I bought a pair it cost me well over $ 100. The store is organized by size and ind they had quite a large selection for all sizes. The saleswomen were friendly without being pushy and I shop best when I’m left to my own devices. As someone said, make your way here if you’re looking for sturdy, reliable shoes/​sandals rather than going to one of the cheaper (seriously, Payless prices are not cheap) shoe stores. You definitely get more bang for your buck here!

You don’t have to buy shoes every time you walk in, sorry Ronson’s, but they do carry many top name brands and at up to 50% off. If you are in the area, drop in you may leave with new shoes, or not. The merchandise changes regularly so dropping in 10 days later may have a whole new stock of treasures.

We’ve all done it: bought a pair of shoes and worn them out on a marathon shopping expedition the next day. The result? Feet riddled with blisters.
On my most recent «why-​am-​I-​doing-​again!» shoe-​wearing marathon the tables turned. The day before a trip to New York I decided I needed some comfy walking shoes that could also double as a more formal piece of footwear. I happened to head into this Ronsons and found a pair of Clarks that felt like I was walking on air.
Clarks is a huge shoe manufacturer in Britain where I grew up. My mum raised me to be obsessed with quality footwear. For me, that’s synonymous with Clarks.
Fast-​forward two days, I spent 11 hours wandering around Manhattan. I arrive back to the hotel, slip off my shoes and my feet feel… fine! I am still so incredibly impressed with the shoes. They are the buy-​a-​second-​pair shoes. And the really awesome part is they cost just $ 30 in the end of season sale! No wonder I’m a fan.
Forget buying $ 30 shoes at Shoe Warehouse, spend the same amount for far better shoes at Ronsons.
