Service is good. Coffee is good. Can’t complain. Although it would be good if they have bigger coffee mugs.

This seem to be the only place to get coffee that you can get by during a short study break(if you are the fist one to dash out the classroom door and be the first few in line) for at least it’s Milano coffee and not water-down generically over-roasted one from White Spot nor the long lineup Tim Horton coffee next door. Expect to rub shoulders with the future millionaires and billionaires of Van City. And who knows? The young lad in an awkwardly fitted suit before you could be the next Steve Jobs, and the young lady behind you busy tapping away on the phone while gasping about her tanking stock could be the next Oprah. Sky is limit folks, and the Sauder Café provides the power mingle space for that. However it isn’t the hip and chic eatery to have your power lunches here. The sandwiches usually go out fast, so do the limited selection entrée-looking dishes, though the portions are never good but at least because they turnout fast, the freshness is still there. The fridge is stocked with the usual coke-enterprise selection(apparently UBC has a xxmillion dollar contract with the coke corp) and I’m glad to see some juice representation there and few vitawater choices. Price wise, it sure won’t break a student’s piggy bank but if you can bring home prepped healthy food for lunch why not? It’s more economical that way and you know what goes into your food. However if time is money and you must eat on campus, to capitalize your munch time, then be sure to grab a quick bite here with you fellow aspiring millionaires to build your network because it is all about who you know and who knows you. Cheerio!

«I wear every single chain, even when I’m in the house cause we… Started from the bottom, now we’re here Started from the bottom, now the whole team here, Started from the bottom, now we’re here» — Drake The Exchange Café is a main hangout for Sauder and Sauderettes. The douchbaggery is strong here, especially among undergrads. Not every Sauder or Sauderette is a douche, but I’d say 50% are. But that’s okay, because they started from the bottom and now they’re here… getting their BComs. Every UBCer that isn’t in Sauder, knows when you enter this café that they’re about to be smacked in the face with suits who are convinced they’re going to make millions, except with 0 tangible plan on how. 19 year-olds who spend their free time talking about«My BCom in international business» and«wine & cheese events, we party classy brah.» But sometimes, you need to print something at David Lam Library. Or you’re near Henry Angus, and you just need a cup of coffee for that nasty smoking habit you picked up between your 20 minute walk in the rain to your Math 300 class and the moment you realize your Prof doesn’t speak any English. So, you head to the Timmy’s nearby but the line is out the door, and you don’t want to overpay on a soggy food from White Spot. So you’re out of options, and now you’re here. Your day started at the bottom, BUTNOWWE’REHERE. The floor where Café Exchange is located is the main hangout of all BCom students between classes. It’s next to their main study area and group meeting rooms. If you talk to anyone, be ready for conversations about 1) Money 2) Internships & Money 3) Real Estate & Money. It’s okay, though most of the girls here are status oriented, but they’re friendly cuz they’re good girls and they knowwww it dun duhhh dunn. If you meet an MBA or Masters in Management student here, it’ll be exactly like a good Drake song. The beat’s great, but pay no attention to the lyrics or what they say. You can do that, and everything becomes more enjoyable during your coffee break. It’s right next to White Spot and Tim Hortons, so no one really eats here. It’s typical pre-made UBC Food anyways, so I wouldn’t order food here unless you’re in dire need. The staff is efficient, especially the student workers. If you need coffee fast, this is the place to be. There are sofas and outlets all around this area that are clean and comfy. The café has 2 flatscreen TVs airing TSN or Sportsnet. No matter what time of year, there’s always room on this floor or the floor above to study.

They don’t provide service they provide bully. I always swallow my burnt panini with tears.
