I haven’t been to many second cup locations, however, had a coupon in one of the ET books, therefore, decided to try it out. I more likely walked past this location on more than one occasion simply ’cause the outside more or less looks like an Asian fast food place than it does an actual coffee to go place. I had a basic latte which was okay, nothing to write home about but the price was good. I don’t think that I would be back as a regular. Customer service was okay as well.

There should be more of these than a particular popular chain. They introduce more delicious latte flavors.

My reviews of oatmeal continues. I like the option of the warm milk; I do not like the $ 0.50 price tag attached to it. At $ 4.24, this Second Cup oatmeal does provide a nice source of protein(6g) and fibre(10g) but with a high sugar value(14g). Of course, some of that sugar comes from the apple, which is a-ok by me. I do not love the price. I find it on the pricey side and can get twice as much oatmeal at Tim Horton’s.

Decent alternative when you’re getting sick of Starbucks or when you’re stuck with it because they’re open until 10pm every night. I usually get the matcha green tea latte or chai latte. Staff is young and friendly but don’t seem personable. I once overheard an employee saying«I hate it when people come here and ask us if Starbucks is open. Do I look like I care if Starbucks is open?» Girl, this is a Children’s Hospital — people need their coffee, prefer their coffee from certain places and will have questions. Get used to it. Also, do not expect to get a free cup of water(cold or hot) or let alone a free cup. The manager just cannot afford that. Walk over to the welcoming, happy Starbucks in the Ambulatory Care building for it :)
