of all their DT locations, it’s the least busiest. almost like a community feel to those who live/work around the area. Easy to find parking too, despite Seymour being a 1-way street here.

I had sworn off all SDM’s after countless errors and poor treatment at the 24hr SDM on Davie. However, I had an Rx that had to be filled ASAP and this place was on my way home. Jeanette is the night pharmacist. She also runs this location. Super kind, helpful, receptive to feedback about store operations, with a strong attention to detail. Also, she always remembers my and my spouse’s names. In this city, that’s hard to come by… Last time I was there picking up cold meds for my wife — Jeanette looked concerned, made some recommendations for meds, and wished her a speedy recovery. Service! Thumbs up! This SDM is now home base for Rx fills. Extra info: The place has a good makeup area if that’s your thing. Also a very handy Canada Post onsite and a good selection of food staples.

At first I wondered about the intelligence and/or trustworthiness of the reviewers then when I discovered it was two young women giving all those stars and all the gushy praise I knew it was time for a man’s perspective. Yes, I’m sure that this particular Shoppers is just divine if you are a young woman, male to female transgender, drag queen or secret cross dresser. For the almost fifty percent of the rest of the population it is a girly shop with one of the most assenine designs and arrangements of stock. For medications, tooth paste, toilet paper, deoderant, aspirin and medications and everything else we get at a drugstore you have to go through shelves of make up and cologne and perfume and nail polish, climb two flights of stairs and there it is, folks. For grocery items you have to make your way through the maze of said girly stock in order to pick from their scant gastronimic and culinary selections stocked in crowded and narrow aisles that would be dangerous for a person with disabilities to negotiate. And don’t even think of complaining to any of the staff about this or they will get rude and defensive and say«go talk to the manager». This SDM sucks BIGTIME!!!

I love this Shoppers! When I meandered in around 11pm on a Sunday night there were only about 4 other people inside. I needed some hand cream, and I found some Burts Bees one upstairs, but I went back to the cosmetics section to see if the woman could see if there were more brands available. The woman in the cosmetics section was super friendly. It seems like a guy was being annoying and trying to hit on her by the manner in which he was talking and standing around, so she showed me every hand cream possible… and avoided him, or *tried* too. This theory may be wrong, but it seemed to be this way. :) Then I was smelling some perfume, and these two women who seemed like regulars, watched me through threshold… it was unbelievably creepy as I looked at them to see if they were looking at me or something else, it went on for about 30 seconds before I realized they were looking at me for the entirety of me spritzing myself, and I slowly made my way out afterwards… Ps. this location has a Canada Post inside, and I picked up a passport renewal form from here which was handy because I didn’t have to make my way to Hastings! Also another employee from a different Shoppers told me that their pharmacy is open late(midnight usually) because there are no other options open up at that time, and someone might be in need. This is one of the reasons why I prefer Shoppers over LD!

I really like this shoppers! The staff is friendly, they have a post office that is never overly busy, they are open until midnight, and they always have lots of great deals. I scored some good ones on boxing day like 2.99 for a huge bottle of Bed Head shampoo(a salon product) This is my go to Shoppers, I love it and will continue to be a loyal customer.
