In Vancouvers ever changing or should I say dying Chinatown I was glad to see one of my favorite bbq meat stores is still standing. Im sad to report that Dollar meats on pender is now closed. Most bbq meats store were competetive in Chinatowns heydays but what separates them apart is their quality & flavor. Sing Chong in my opinion has the best flavor out of all the dwindling competition in Chinatown & by far is better than what T &T has to offer. I havent been out to Richmond or Victoria drive but. Im a creature of habit & I love the bbq meats here.

Someone let me try these tasty sausages(Lapsang or Lapchang??) not too long ago and they were the tastiest sausages I have ever tasted. I had to find out where to buy some for myself. In the store, there is an entire wall of lean or not-so lean sausages for your choosing. Full of flavour, and well made. You gotta try it! LOVEIT!

This store is the only place our family would buy our preserved meats including sausages and ducks as their sausages can be extremely lean, with is more healthy and the preserved ducks are sinfully delicious. All preserved meats go really well with rice or can be used to cook other delicious dishes. It is also a plus that is is sold fresh and not packaged like what you find in supermarket, which tends to contain more fat in the sausages. The roast meats are also fresh and delicious and reasonably priced and equally delicious as from the more expensive stores in the suburbs especially when their daily specials are advertised. The bad side is that the store is not particularly clean as they leave all doors open, which means all insects can enter the store and a big no no for vegetarians or people who are trying to watch their weight. All in all, this is one of the better meats stores located at Chinatown.

A very popular Chinese meat shop, fresh meats &HKBBQ meats, I have only shopped here for the BBQ meats, for me its the pork ribs which are very hard to find a good moist rack of HK bbq pork, it seems that most all meat shops in Chinatown sell very dry chewy ribs and to find a good moist rack when the meat falls off the bone is like pearl in the rough, well almost. They seem to have a good selection more times than not here. So between here and Dollar Meats(on the other block) its a bit of a toss up, they both seem to have the somethings better than the other one does.
