I came to see Dr. John Pidutti for issues I was having with my digestion. I had the issues for more than 2 years, and gained 10 pounds within that time and had trouble taking it off. From the first session I had with Dr. Pidutti, I liked him right away. He’s kind and he listens.
He also gave me different treatment options which I appreciated because it gave me the option to choose how much I wanted to spend. I had a few tests done and then he gave me a new diet to follow and a few supplements. Luckily my insurance covers most of it, but even if it didn’t, I would do it again because I’m so happy about the results.
The problems I had with my stomach/​digestion are 80% fixed (he said it would take a few months for me to fix) and I have lost 5 pounds since the first day of treatment, which was about a month ago. I feel so much better, it’s night and day from how I was feeling before.
The office is welcoming and there’s street parking and parking in the underground. His staff is friendly and professional as well. I highly recommend Dr. John Pidutti if you’re looking for a naturopath who puts your health first.

i come here to see elena siniori for acupuncture. i had tried seeing a naturopath elsewhere but i was not impressed. i have been so impressed with elena as she is straight-​up and caring and i can tell her anything and it all means something to her and i always have amazing results from getting the pokes! most recently, i went for «cervical ripening» weekly, in the 3 – 4 weeks leading up to my due date, to get ready to have my baby. my little lady not only came a few days early like i hoped but i had a wonderful quick and easy labour.
acupuncture is incredible and feels like magic to me and i confidently recommend elena to anyone who is interested in trying acupuncture or has tried «everything else» for their health concerns and looking for solutions!

OVERVIEW: When a good friend refers you to a clinic that offers an alternative method of better health, you just have to see for yourself. The funny thing is that the «alternative method» should have been the norm because Springs Eternal deals with naturopathic medicine. On a broad sense, this means that they focus on natural remedies coupled with the body’s ability to heal and maintain itself while avoiding evasive methods like drugs and surgery.
WHO: The clinic is run by a soft-​spoken couple (each with their own specialties) whom both have a doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine giving them an «ND» designation rather than an «MD».
AILMENTS: They deal with a wide array of conditions from allergies/​asthma, detox/​cleansing, and anything else that deals with making your body function better.
TREATMENTS: No antibiotics here that puts your system out of whack and kills the good bacteria along with it. We’re talking about acupuncture, hydrotherapy and homeopathy which means herbs and natural supplements to bring your body into healing itself.
CONSULTATION: It’s a one-​hour consultation for the very first visit. You fill out a form detailing your present health and conditions. At CAD140.00, I damn right made sure to list everything I can think of about my health. The doctor goes thru the form and then discusses everything in your life and weeds thru your past living and working conditions. From possible exposure to household paint and chemicals to how much metals your body may have ingested including the amalgam your dentist put on your teeth.
COST: Because it’s an alternative approach this means that MSP will not cover the cost of clinic visits nor will Pharmacare cover the cost of supplements. Until this is a widely accepted form of treatment in the medical community extended insurance is the only option.
THE FUTURE OF MEDICINE: Until the government includes this as part of basic medical coverage or I win the lottery (whichever comes first, really) it’s not something I can continue doing. And let’s just say your extended insurance will cover the cost of all office visits, you still have to deal with the cost of supplements which isn’t covered.
UNTIL THEN: All we can really do toward better health is what our parents have been saying. At least drinking red wine has health benefits. Now if only they make a positive study on poutine consumption.
