Note this is a review for the Tea Wok on Kingsway, not the Terminal Ave location. Ordered the special Korean Beef on Rice Because they ran out of Tomato Beef Noodle Soup ?? OK. K.Beef was tender but lacking. Almost tastes like store bought paste for sauce. The grape slush was very weak(Kool-aid would have been more refreshing). The Dumplings were mushy and doughy, very thick skin so not ordering that again. The Pop-corn fried chicken noodle was good but they forgot our order after waiting over 50 minutes they«Checked our order» to see what was going on. They only came back 12 minutes later to say sorry. And to Quote the first page of the menu, only can be explained as a dining By-law«15 — 45 minutes Wait is normal» as per agreement when sitting. On top of the list of not so appealing descriptions of how to order at Tea Wok. «Minimum order is enforced» ?? Something told me we should have left before the water arrived but new places deserve a chance. I Don’t understand why the staff assumed we speak poo′tông′hwä′ the whole way thru thou we understood most of the questions and dish names that came really? Did I step into TW? Noodles were tender but the soup was plain ol MSG haven. The fried nuggets were juicy and the skin not too dry. I was not impressed and won’t come back.

I was pretty eager to try this place since there are no other nearby asian resturants, specifically with bubble tea. I got the 3 Spice Chicken lunch combo. One of the dishes(cabbage and minced meat) was cold. The food was very mediocre and tasted like a dish that i could have got from T&T for half the price. I ended up throwing it out. The drink was OK, quite powdery and sugary. Disappointing.

Just for being new, and in a growing area with all the new car dealerships along here: Mercedes, Porsche, and some other exotic one I can’t recall at this time of nite lol. It’s the same owner from the DT but a heckuva lot smaller, and only caters to the working crowd: closed weekends. Bubble tea’s nothing special, mostly powder, so the coffee it is, nothing special. But think pricing has gone up, now extra 75 cents for pearls/coconut jelly. Only cash or debit. Does have your typical Taiwanese goodies.
