The ArtWay Art Studio & Learning Centre

Three years ago I decided I wanted to learn how to recreate the beautiful light I saw as a city bus driver. I felt like painting would be a good outlet for this. Not only did I find a great teacher but I also discovered that I had a love for many different ways of expressing what i saw in this beautiful city. The multi media art classes that are taught by Dena Erickson have given me the confidence to let go and enjoy art as a process! I also feel like I have begun to capture some of what I see. The reason I keep coming back to the Artway is because Dena not only teaches but she helps to quiet the critical mind that gets in the way of painting as a pure form of joy.
She is also right in the middle of some fantastic little restaurants and coffee shops. The Lions Den and the faux bourgeois are my favourite.
