I love Coach, have been a loyal customer and have had great customer service every single time I’ve visited any Coach store, but never have I been lied to by a Sales Associate and to be lied to three times, its unforgivable — really regretfully made a wonderful indulgent experience a somewhat negative one. LIEONE I was on the hunt for a somewhat popular bag — apparently sold out in all of west Canada except for the five left in the Burrard store. A manager from another store(separate review) called to reserve this bag for me the day before. However, when I went down to the Burrard store the next day, I was told(and I quote), «No, you are mistaken, the Madison Christie is sold out. I sold the last one last week» by a new Chinese Sales Associate, Iris. Iris insisted I buy the bag she recommended because its the last one. LIETWO I insisted Iris check the system to see if there are any in the system. She typed some numbers in the computer and told me again I had to buy the bag she recommended because the one I wanted is not available. I was so confused… and really disappointed. I asked a passing manager if she knew there was a bag on hold for me and yes. Iris did not say anything as the manager told her she must have typed the number incorrectly into the system. LIETHREE Iris then grabbed the bag I had on hold for me. I did my inspection and noted that there were some scratches so I asked to see the other two bags and she insisted there were none and that I had to buy the scratched one. Iris lied again, the manager then pulled 2 other new bags(same model) for me to inspect and I chose a better one. I bought an unscratched one. WEIRDCUSTOMERSERVICE — SLOWTRANSACTIONANDNOWRAPPINGSERVICE Iris took at least 20 minutes to complete my transaction. No apologies for her lying to say the least. After everything was done, she put my bag into a paper bag. I looked at her and asked whether she was going to put it in a box for me? She looked surprised and reluctantly went to the back to pack my purchase. I assume Coach sales associates work on Commission, and usually I am very very happy with my purchases with Coach. My experience with this particular associate, who LIEDMULTIPLETIMES to get a sale makes me wonder if I should start branching out to other brands instead. Such a disappointment. FIVESTARS for the Bag: D NOSTARS for the lying sales associates here that are NOTHELPFUL at all.

I was purchasing a large purse for the first time. I looked everywhere, looking for what would be a useful one. I was so happy to find the Maggie — it has two large compartments by the two handles, and a zipped low compartment in the middle. The partitions are silky and move enough to accommodate whichever section has the widest thing in it! I checked other(non-Coach) stores just in case, but none had that kind of versatility(most had one big compartment with a few small pockets). Also, I found that Coach is comparatively not that expensive. They sent me a gift card a month or so after my purchase… and I got sucked in and bought something more than twice the gift card amount :-p Oh well, I’m going to enjoy it. I’ve found service good most of the time(not pushy), but I found the Christmas temporary staff too attentive.

There were some problems with the hardware on my Coach bag so I brought it in. They had me in the computer so they looked up when and where my purse were purchased. Even though the ladies weren’t receiving commission/sales on this, they were very happy to assist me. They took down my information from the computer and verified everything with me. The purse will be sent to be fixed free of charge and will call me when it is shipped back into the store. Fast, friendly and professional service. Coach stands by their products and I am impressed.

Yes, I like Coach, Mens Coach stuff and unfortunately this store doesn’t have it. However, they do have it at the Pacific Center mall location and there is much much more variety there. So that is where I will go. For this location, the staff was nice and attentive and all were pleasant to talk to. Keychains for about $ 50, wallets for a bit more, small bags for $ 120 and up, but nothing as pricey as Prada(been there) Burberry(done that), LV, Gucci, Salvatore Feragamo(Sold my soul for those). This stuff is by tradition, American(an made in China). and as far as a designer brand, more affordable, but more pricey than, ummm, uhhh, whatever those other non essential name brands are…

It was Christmas time and my friend and I decided to go shopping for gifts after class. So you can imagine, we were not dressed to impress or anything like that. We decided to check out Coach to see what accessories they had. We walked through the door and a girl greets us(quite normal). There were a few people in the store along with us and about 3 girls on the floor. We looked around a bit; my friend went off looking at wallets and I went off looking at scarves and hats. Knowing vaguely what I wanted to get, I wanted to ask them if they carry a particular item. I looked around and one girl was busy, so I tried to get the attention of this other girl. It was quite difficult to get them to notice so in the end I went up to one of them to ask them. This is normal for most run of the mill places; I didn’t care too much about it. So a few days after my visit to Coach on Burrard, my friend and I went shopping downtown again. I decided to stop by at Tiffany & Co. to buy one of my gifts. The next stop was Coach, as it was a few steps away. Again, upon arrival, a girl greets us at the door and again there were 3 girls working. I started walking around. Again my friend and I went our own separate ways. This is quite the funny part: 2 of the girls started following me around the store and trying to start small talk with me. Eventually one girl gave in and had to help the other customers in the store. So, the next time you decide to go to Coach, just carry something name brand on you, you will get much better service(at least you wont be ignored). My friend and I ended up not getting anything from them again; my friend said they ignored her again haha… I should have given her the Tiffany & Co bag to carry!
