What’s not to love? In sitting at the Mill right now etching Sunday night football. Our waitress is phenomenal and the atmosphere is just great! Even though we are in Canada where hockey reigns supreme, the bartender put the Eagles game on 3 of the 5 tvs for us! Good guy! Next up is the food. OMG it’s terrific! We started off with the giant pretzel appetizer and it was served hot and with awesome mustard on a wooden plank. Yum! Next up were our entrees and I had the salmon burger with a side salad. The salmon was to die for! Perfectly seasoned and cooked! My guy had the Cobb salad with chicken and he loved it! We are here for football so will probably order a pizza after the third quarter. This is a very friendly place and the food and drink are excellent! I highly recommend it when in Vancouver!

I made a reservation in mid august for a birthday party. I called them twice– the second time to change the party number– so I’m certain I told them the correct details. When my party arrived, they were adamant that there wasn’t any reservation for us. It wasn’t that they made a mistake, in fact I’d forgive it if the hostess and 1 waiter weren’t unapologetic and hinting that I was the one who had made the mistake. Granted it was a busy Saturday afternoon, but the experience has left me with a bad taste in my mouth.

First off, the staff is outstandingly warm, friendly, and efficient; I would return just for them! Separate from the staff, this is a pretty good restaurant/bar with a nice location. Part of the restaurant is a warm, pub-like indoor area [cave-like as well, tucked under a plateau area], while most of the space seemed to be in the large outdoor section, where plenty of tables were set under canopies. All of this is set overlooking a water play area that looked great for kids as well as views of the harbor through the trees. The food’s pretty good, although nothing in particular stood out to me and I thought it was a little on the pricy side.

A solid three stars for an OK bar. The patio on a day with perfect weather is what brought us here and the atmosphere lived up to our expectations. We ordered a pitcher of the blueberry Rosemary sangria, which looked nice, but was just alright. More sweet than strong. My date’s glass chipped and he ended up with a small battle wound. The server did make it right by bringing him out a fresh glass of sangria. Service was very sporadic and although the servers were nice, they were very hard to find when needed. Probably wouldn’t recommend unless you happened to be in the area and wanted to sit outside.

Bad service started with the unfriendly host and continued with staff more interest in the baseball game than helping customers. To be fair, the waitress tried hard but had a lot of tables to cover. Of the three dishes we ordered, the kids meal(noodles) was the best. The burgers were bland and fries stale. We will never come back or recommend

Fantastic location for a summer day. View of the water and sea planes coming and going, not to mention the lawn with every one catching the rays. Had a local lager and a salmon burger. The burger was out of this world… salmon cooked to perfection and the bun was soft, fresh with a few sesame and poppy seeds. Good for people watching.

Went there for lunch today and sat on the patio, which is nice. Among the nicest in the area. The food, however, was pretty bad. I had the beef dip. It was best described as lacking flavour. The au jus might just have been some mildy warm unsalted beef broth, because it sure didn’t have much taste. The meat itself wasn’t great either. I would not order again. At least it wasn’t too expensive. The beer selection is pretty mediocre, especially compared to other restaurants owned by the same group. I would go back here to drink, but not to eat.

I tried The Mill for the first time on Canada Day and I absolutely loved it! I was expecting to be in line for a while but nope, this place had it all together! We waited less than 10 mins even though the place was packed! Service was quick and tables were turned even quicker. Best part was that they sat everyone on the patio unless of course someone requested to be inside– very impressive! The server was nothing short of amaaazing! I wish I could remember his name, he made it a wonderful experience for us! He suggested the peach sangria– oh my! It was soo good, we ordered 2 pitchers! We also ordered chicken skewers that were served with blue cheese and hot sauce– wowww!!! I love the location of this place– great view and not as busy as the Canada Place end of the seawall. I look forward to returning!!! Only reason I’m giving this place 4 stars is because they don’t have in-house washrooms. I had to wait in line for over 20mins along with everyone else on the seawall.

We didn’t get served a water or beer for half an hour. Then rather than comping our cold nachos(which they said they would do) they gave us only a 25% discount, and only on the nachos. Nice patio, terrible service, mediocre food.

Awesome patio with a view of Coal Harbour. The salmon was good, but the bun and wasabi mayo were seriously lacking(should be removed). Good for a couple of drinks, like Fat Tug IPA& Whistler Grapefruit Ale.

The food was delicious. I was super dissapointed though that refills weren’t free. No one told me this. And my drink was $ 3. Ridiculous.

It’s a great place for after work drinks on the patio. They have a great outdoor space and beautiful view which, unlike most patios in the city, usually has a table available. The nachos are terrible though. Not enough cheese and they don’t have a deep fryer?! How is that possible? However the clam chowder is excellent. I didn’t order it but my friend does and always lets me try it. And they had King Heff on tap. The best!

Love the patio seating area. Got the wild mushroom pizza which was awesome! The beer was good. Price was great. The only thing that was kind of weird about was the washroom. One inside the resto and the rest outside(public washroom)

Came here on a business lunch(just 3 of us). Like the other reviews, you pay for the location and view. The food is fine, but definitely a few bucks overpriced. What makes this place absolutely unacceptable is their service. Sure, the girls and guys look cute and friendly, but how about some actual service? We arrived at 1145am and left at 130pm! Problems: 1. No one came by to let us know who our server was. Had to flag down another server to take our order and drinks. 2. No one apologized for anything, in fact they were kind of snotty about anything and everything. 3. Stop playing with that puppy and actually do some work. 4. After playing with that puppy, please wash your hands before you take that plate and pack that guy’s sandwich — disgusting. 5. Stop asking if anyone wants water and just fill our empty glasses already. You are unnecessarily interrupting a conversation for something very obvious. Where were you when I needed utensils, anyway? 6. Yes, you should be thanking us for giving you any type of tip because you’ve been nothing but unapologetic and unnecessarily slow. If someone says«You’re Welcome» when you didn’t say«Thank You», take the hint. No, thanks. I’ll go to Cactus next time and know that I’ll be out in 45 minutes. 2 stars instead of 1 because the food quality is actually pretty good(though poor value) and for the location/view. Oh yeah, and if I’m going to pay $ 20/person for lunch, I would prefer not to see our servers bra or armpits — talk about dressing down.

Nice patio, but the menu is limited and the food is pretty crappy for the inflated price they charge. You’re basically paying for the location, but you can’t «eat» the patio. If you want to eat by the water you’re better off getting take out and finding a bench nearby.

5 star patio. 4 star beer list 2 star menu. we come here a lot because it has a dog-friendly patio. the beer is great, the service is quick and friendly, and they let our pooch hang out on the patio. the only problem with the mill is the food. we’ve tried 5 different dishes and the food is fine, but it’s really not that exciting! this place could really use a menu overhaul. beers are well priced, and they have a decent craft selection.

I like this place! It’s a good place to get drinks after work, especially on a sunny Friday afternoon. The service is always really friendly, and they welcome dogs on their patio. Each time we’ve been there with Mousse, they’ve given her a treat and a water bowl. If you’re going for snacks, I recommend the giant pretzel. It’s pretty nom worthy. Wasn’t too much of a fan of the blueberry rosemary sangria, but love their wines!

Daher zwei Sterne Punktabzug.
